Ok well I have a question, I dont knwo what im going to do for a swap but I am going to list some questions about a turbo setup before i make my final decision.

IF I got a sr20det motor set and sicne it doesnt usually at all have a SMIC, I was looking at the FMIC kits and noticed that they where pretty much complete. The only thing however I noticed on the FMIC kits was the fact that the Cold pipes dont have placement for a BOV?

Im sure a BOV is necessary after reading the necessary FAQ's but I was wondering if I bought a FMIC kit like the BLitz one and bought an aftermarket BOV would there infact be a location in the piping supplied from the FMIC kit to put the BOV? Or do you have to buy another pipe specifically for the BOV? I just dont see a location in any of the FMIC kits for BOV location. But the full Turbo kits the piping has placement for the BOV. Im sure this is all due to the fact taht not any BOV is the same.

So if the FMIC kits do not infact come with correct placement for any BOV then what do you need to buy with the FMIC to get a placement for the BOV? Or do BOV's come with a pipe for hookup to a FMIC support?

THanks for the help I might have more questions later on.

intercooler kits don't come with hot pipes, so if you buy one of them from lets say enjuku you can buy the hot pipe with the blowoff flange. Which would of course make the BOV on the hot pipe side, you could always get a solid hot pipe and have a flange welded into the cold pipe (throttle body) side of the intercooler piping.

Side note: you usually are going to get 3 pieces of piping with an intercooler kit. One piece for the hot side of the FMIC and two connecting pieces for the throttle body side. Like I said above you still need hot pipe from turbo.

Hope that helps.

They dont come with BOV flanges. Most come with a recirculation hole where a stock recirc can be hooked up to. If you want a BOV, your kit will come with a flange and you have to get it welded onto your hot or cold pipe. As stated above, hot pipes are usually not included with FMIC kits. (I think Solaris meant to say that the cold pipe was included in the kit)

THank you so much guys sorry I didnt post back sooner I was waying ka-t setups against the sr ones. Ok so basically, lets say I got a FMIC with the cold side setup for a recirc, would it be more of a healthy idea to set up the hotpipe and BOV together since the cold pipe is set up for recirc?

OK I was also curious if you upgraded the turbo from the stock s13 sr to the t28 disco potatoe I saw that it is internally wastegated and had a little hook up for im assuming either recirculation or vacuum hose hook up. Was wondering what line usually runs from the wastegate to where?

Also I was curious if lets say you got the T28 with the blitz LM FMIC, Custom HT pipe with BLitz BOV, what kind of "recirc" or "vacuum" lines would run the system?

IE (one from the BOV to the cold pipe....) that kind of thing

The wastegate can be hooked up to any IC piping. The shorter the tubing the better.

I am not sure what you are asking in your second question.
