Hi I've found a completely stock 98 kouki near my area with 250k on its ka and with automatic transmission, the body and interior are good. What would be a good price to pay for this? The guy might also be interested in traiding for my stock 90 5spd z32 N/A 2+2 with ~ 153k mi. What do you guys think? I'd appreciate the help, thanx!

haha :yesnod exactly. He seems interested in the z32. a couple of minutes ago he sent me an email asking how much cash i would offer extra. he says in about 2 or 3 weeks he'll be converting it to a manual, so how much cash am i willing to offer as is or if he does the manual conversion. I dont know how much I should offer. my z is pretty clean and has no problems; his 98 kouki is also clean, but has 250k on the engine as i said. what do you think?

no^ id tell him to keep it an auto and then try and trade straight. that way you could do the work yourself and dont have to worry about him messing up

This. based on your descriptions of both cars, that's about a straight trade.

Ask if its a clean or salvage title. That should be first unless you don't care about resale. But it sounds to me like a good trade as is. Your car is faster than his as is with less miles. And its 5speed. I'd offer your car for his with the 5speed swap in the trunk.

Z32 w/ standard options (5 speed):
Excellent
$3,025
Good
$2,625
Fair
$2,175

S14 w/ standard options and automatic:
Excellent
$3,835
Good
$3,360
Fair
$2,810

S14 w/ Standard Options and 5 spd:
Excellent
$3,535
Good
$3,060
Fair
$2,510

Looks like the S14 is worth a little more but only by a few hundred. I'd only be doing it if the trade was straight up. Maybe throw in 300 if he'll put the 5 speed swap in the trunk.

if he's giving you cash do it.
a kouki is never worth what a z32 is.
and that thing has over 200k on it and it's auto.
ur Z u can maybe get like 4k for it.
that kouki is worth 2500 tops.

if he gives you cash and the 5spd setup.
done deal.

Yeah i would have to agree, he is crazy if he is trying to get your Z32 with 100k less miles and a 5spd. Straight trade with 5spd included would be doing him a favor.
