hey yall i have been wanting to get an altima coupe since they came out. well now is my chance i am a senior in HS and got full paid tutition to JSU in jacskonville alabama due to my score on the ACT.

so here is my question: i found a 3.5 SE used altima coupe with 19000 miles on it. the dealership is asking $22,000 for it. that is including tax title everything.

is this a good deal?

thanks

Any packages? Leather? Sunroof? Nav? Bose? 6MT or CVT?

I paid 22,900 for a new 2.5 with the premium package. You could probably talk them down to at least 21k and that's a pretty good deal to start for a 3.5 considering most paid 24 and up for it new.

btw, welcome to the board.

california taxes are a pain in the *** but my 3.5se CVT was about $29,000 out the door and i dont have the premium package (it was sort of take what you can get when i got mine). premium package is like another $4,000? $5,000? so when i bought mine new it would have been like $33,000 out the door in California.... idk.... seems like an OK deal to me..... see if you can talk them down a little though

You can usually work down dealerships....

I don't if you are financing but in Canada used car financing is more expensive than new car financing. Always do research first, see what they are being sold used for right now.

BTW congrats on getting a full ride to JSU

19k and premium package= $20,000 plus tax , so $22000 out the door is not to far off, try to get them to throw in some free oil changes and kickplates.........

The only thing I can suggest to you is check the history! Most people do not trade in a car after 1 year and you cannot lease them for 1 year.

80% of 1-year old cars are program cars (rentals, loaners, etc.), I cant imagine too many program coupes as they are some what impracticle.

Make sure it is not written off or a rebuild. Use CarFax or Car Proof and ask the dealer lots of questions, they are not allowed to lie to you.

i hadnt even thought about that. i just got off the phone with the dealer and it was used as a rental for a snazzy rental place that rents cars for parties, business meeting, ect. and one company kept the car rented for 2 months to use while they had some investors intown. they also said they would have a history report for me next time i was by

thanks

No problem, I sell cars and very few people ever ask for history or information on a car that is one year old because they assume its as good as new.

I suggest you spend that little extra and get a new one, the finance rate will be way lower on a new one that a used one anyways.
