I was offered a sales price of 34.5k for a 2011 G37 Journey black/graphite with premium pkg.. Good deal? I saw on truecar.com that a great deal was 33.5k for the 2010 model, but for 1k more is this a good deal for a 2011?

I got the exactly same offer from a local Infiniti dealer in SF bay area on the 2011 Journey sedan with Premium package.

The dealer invoice is $35,122 including dest. charge per edmunds.com. I know there is a $500 incentive now so the $34,500 is a little lower than the dealer invoice price. There is also a 2% dealer holdback (about $700).

If there is nothing else that I don't know of, dealer makes about $600 on the sale, which is pretty reasonable. My only thought is whether Infiniti will provide more incentive by year end or the beginning of 2011, usually when the best deals are.

I assume they haven't added in dealer destination charge and they charge a doc fee of 550 (don't ask.. Every dealer in South Florida charges 550-900..f'n scam artists), which makes me hesitant to hold out for something better.

The destination charge is in the dealer invoice price but I need to confirm with dealer the quote includes it.

The doc fee is negotiable. I never paid more than $100.

Warren Henry Infiniti.. Sorry, but tax, tag, and title doesn't seem realistic. You're talking about an msrp of 38k, tax of 2.2k, and then tag and title? I doubt they're taking off 6-7k from a car that just hit the streets..

I agree, you may get a 2010 for that price...

You're best bet is to wait until after the new year and pick up a 2010. I've had good luck buying in Feb.

PM me for a good Infiniti contact...

Darn, the sales tax here in CA is 9.5% so that's over $3k. :tisk:

And the state is jacking up the tag fee too. It would be about $1k for the new G37. I am paying $300 a year for a 2005 BMW 330Ci.

CA is truly an expensive state. Did I mention the state income tax % yet?

I did call coconut creek.. They said they couldn't even come close to that offer "But hey, come in and we'll see what we can do anyway".. To which my reply was, "Well if you can't touch that deal, why would I come in to see what you can do? So I can sit there for 3 hrs while you go back and forth with your manager to come back and tell me you can't touch that deal?"..

So they were not able to do better than the Warren Henry deal which was 34.5k plus dealer fee of 595 (which includes doc fee + whatever dealer crap they put in there). Btw, I don't seem to know everything, I'm just debating what you're saying..

Just got a confirmed quote from a local dealer in SF bay area for a 2011 G37 sedan with premium package for $34,500 + tax + $600 tag/fees, a total of $38,378 OTD. Remember we have 9.5% sales tax here.

Pretty decent deal, I think.

Where did you buy the car? State?

Did you get any free oil changes or dealer credits for services?

Bought it at Lauderhill in South Florida.. First two oil changes free.. I passed on the Warren Henry place because, although they offer a lot more perks when you buy with them, they were also offering me less money for my trade in. In the end, they thought I was playing a numbers game and lying to em I guess... So they lost out..

I went to another local dealer today at lunch time and test drove a leftover 2010 G37 sedan. My impression is that it handles as well as my BMW (2005 330Ci convertible) and of course it is much more powerful. However, the ride is kinda bumpy on uneven roads even though it doesn't have the sport package. My BMW has the sport package and rides better on rough roads.

Does anyone have such feeling?

In terms of price, the 2010 G37 sedan has premium, navi, maple wood interior for under $35k, almost same as the 2011 G37 with premium only. You get the navi for free basically.

Is that a good deal?

I was looking at the Navi package. It says video file playback via USB port.

Anyone knows if the playback only works when the car is parked? I think there is a law prohibiting video playing in the front while the car is in motion.
