i originally liked the aluminium wing look...i guess it is as someone else said somewhere is this thread....some cars have just kinda ruined it. however i think the wing should match body color as much as possible it will already be standing out as is. there are four reasons i would not put it on my car.1. i just dig the drift style wing more....or the do-luck2. i drive my car to the grocery store, take my girl out in it, etc. i'm not always racing around...and i like to have a car that looks sleek and clean...and not yelling look at me.3. the honda-boys ruined it for me. 4. i don't wanna have more downforce than i've got horsepower.

just my opinion...your situation could be different than mine or if it isn't there is food for thought. either way do what make you happy.

hey, i have a 95 240, all pearl white. it came with a bomex fin on it, its bolted into the trunk lid so i havnt taken it off yet, but i kinda like it. this one: http://www.bomexaero.com/image...2.jpg

i heard some of u guys say u didnt like it before, but it is not that flashy and doesnt stick up at all, plus it makes the car look a little longer which i like.

i really liked the fin that you had a picture of in your first post, its body colored, looks nice. that nismo fin was a good looking one as well.

nice ride man, nice ride.

As stated earlier, if you want a wing on your car for whatever reason, get one. It may make you look ricey but it's all in how u do it.

Speed D make some good points. The sustained racing look can get kinda old (imagine going to church in a suit with a wicked wing to match yer suit?) THe bomex wing is a great product that I would'nt mind having.

THe other wing I like is the one on the Blackbird (do a search for it on these boards so I wont have to re-post it) It costs a mothaload though. Its made by C-west. there is a knockoff made by C-Wings for a couple hundred less.

The road less travelled is lonely at first , untill people start noticing you.

SRdS14....

Your front end looks like a 95-96 with an almost complete 97-98 conversion. It looks like the corner lights are still s14... and the headlights/grill/hood are mcs14... interesting combo.... or maybe it's just the hood that makes it look different. I still have the same opinion that I had for Redrocket's car.... your car looks GREAT!!! but the wing makes it look cheap in my opinion. To me, it takes a car that looks very clean, classy, sporty, and nice..... and makes it look like you couldn't afford a wing that was suited to your car. But, as we have all agreed.... it's your car, do what you like! :)

its the 96-96 front end...headlights and all. i have the bomex eye mask that makes it look a lil like the kouki headlights...but they are NO WHERE nEAR. its okay. s15 conversion here i come...that is summer project next year. winter is sr20 build. oh yeah, and now u got me wanting to get that damn bomex wing...u ***. :D thanks for the opinion man...

btw guys, i just found out i placed 3rd in the J280 (highest 240) class at nopi. 240sx's are the **** and everyone knows it. ~Scott

how about we just trade cars? hehe, nice ride =) i really like the paint job, where did u get that color? i am looking into painting my car. i would have painted the carbon hood, is there a reason why people do not paint them? ehh, i dont even know the real advantage to one anyway =/ but very nice car. id say its rather the look that you are going for, if you want a day to day driver looking car, then go with the body colored fin, if you want your car to look like it is competing in the next gumball tour, then get the touring wing. id say its more the car/wing combo than just deciding on a wing, the 240 is a sports car, so a wing is at home on the back of one, where as a civic or a sentra on the other hand.... =)

to make this very cut and dry..... i think most people that dislike aluminum wings.. think they look akward on STOCK cars, (e.i., no body kits, or other body accesories, which ever they maybe, and i don't think rims count) and i strongly agree with this point of view.. they just looks like it doesn't belong there.. it does not match with anything else on the car. now on the other hand, if the car is done up properly.. and i will use SRdS14's car as an example, then aluminum wings tend to blend in with the car and doesn't stand out..

As far as this "performance" one gets from them... well daily street driving does not condone there use.. and for however minimal that benefit is.... its a BIG price too pay in the overall looks aspect of the car...
