I'm asking in here because there seems to be more adult like people in here with more experience in modification. If it needs to be moved, go for it.

I searched the forums to find a good offset for the S13, but I'm still not sure what to go with. I'm going to be running 16's 4 lug (9" rear 8" front).

My buddy was telling me to go with +35 in the rear. He's never owned a 240 however.. he has a Mini Cooper S with 9's in the rear and 8's in the front, so I'd like some input from you folks. I like a fat lip, so preferrably I want to go with the biggest.

+35 seems to be a decent choice for the rear.. but having 9" wheels I'm not sure if the tires will rub on the coils or not. I'll probably go with 225's or 245's depending. And a good offset for the front.. I have no clue.

Keep in mind I need to get the most traction on the ground with my engine setup. The car will be on coilovers also. My car will be setup mostly for drag, but I'll be using it for everything really, drag is kindof boring. It's not going to be a daily driver however.

Input appreciated, thanks.

Why limit yourself with 4 lug hubs? There's a much better selection with 5 lug hubs in width and offset.

I may go 5 lug.. haven't decided yet. It all depends on what is and isn't available in the size I should go with. That's another reason I'm asking.

I plan to go with the 5zigen FN01R-C17X7 front and 17X8 rear. from what I have read they will clear Z brakes and coilovers.

For an RB26 I would go with 9 in the back minimum. As Nismo posted 5zigen makes the FN01R-C's in 17x7,8 for s13's but they do make 17x8 and 17x9 for S14's. Take a look at this http://forums.freshalloy.com/u...60153(Mav's s13) Black Racing Pro-N1 17x8" +20 17x9" +38 with 225/45-17 and 245/45-17 Potenza RE730

right now on my s13 i have 5-lugs in the rear only. i'm using z32 twin turbo rims for the rear, it's 16"x8.5", with 245/45/16 tires and it line up to the fender and plenty of clearance on the inside wall.

anyhow, wiht the rb26, i would go with atleast 9" width on the rear, since you'll be breaking traction easier with the the bigger motor. 5-lugs setup will open you to a wider selection of rims

If you use 35's in the rear like phase2 reccomends, your wheel tire will slightly poke out. go with a 40 offset in the rear.

dunno about the front, but according to phase2 the 35 offset in the front will clear Z32 brakes. I have 35's all around on my s13 and the rears stick out, and I have no conclusion for the fronts because the fenders aren't back on yet.

I'm not too sure how that would fit on an S13, but I know that +35 offset sucks, and if you have coilovers, you'll probably need spacers to make them fit. +35 probably isn't going to have a very good lip, either.
