So had the rust bucket looked at by a mechanic friend of mine and we had her jacked up and had a good look. He thinks ive got a good deal but there are some bad spots, The drivers side sill is goosed and will need replacing, too much rust running through it, and the rear panel on the same side is completely shot, this is the side of the car that was parked by a hedge with moss all over it for 4 years! Theres a new hole in the front nearside wheel well where i poked my finger through but its only small and the rest is solid. The engine still cranks and has good compression too.

From what hes telling me ive got a big job on my hands, which i knew anyway, but its do-able, so im happier now.

As im only just learning this stuff, can anyone point me in the direction of brand new axle parts? i want to replace the whole lot so its all new underneath? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks guys

oh and also i never even realised this until he pointed it out to me, theres a £400 re-conditioned turbo sat on the front seat which means even if the car was un-savable, ive already made my money back anyway lol, bonus!
