good news for 08 ex35 owner, 09 ex35 nth changed

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

09 EX35 has nothing changed according to infiniti.ca except MSRP increased CAD$ 500 and Bose premium audio system combined with GPS in Navigation package.

now 08 ex35 owners are happy, very happy, specially I

The custom leather option is gone?

The aspen white has increased to $300

08 owners might have the better package??

I could be wrong but it seems that the 09 acording to the Canadian site, the US site still shows the 08, has DCA (Distance Control Assist).

DCA to my knowledge was only on the New FX and not the EX

And they made the packages more logical, i wanted AVM but didnt want lane departure, and ICC .

DCA sounds a lot like the ICC feaure. I found it very handy on the highway at times. But this might be a new, added feature that operates independently of ICC.

I think its independent since ICC is still their, i believe its a crash prevention system, like if you were not paying attention and it beeps then will actually apply brakes so you wont rear end someone, laser based i bet like the ICC.

DCA is different from ICC. It looks like they have an upgraded ECU that can use the same hardware as ICC to do the DCA features. I wish 08 models could get a free upgrade to get DCA. probably has an extra button or something though.

The "custom leather" (Luxe Elite) option being gone is interesting. Glad I got that option I also noticed they took other features from the Luxe Elite package (like the headrest hanger) and made that part of the "Journey Package" Journey is no longer a trim anymore....at least not in Canada...AWD is standard.

I sure wish the US site would update with 2009 info, it is hard (if not impossible) to compare to the Canadian options

I only see 2 parking sensors in the back bumper, is it normal on Canada models? or did they remove 2 in the middle?

If you have the rear view camera you only get 2 sonar sensors in Canada. Not sure if they do that down in the U.S.

In US, we get 2 sensors in the rear. At least if you have AVM like I do. See my pics below.

So here is the funny part, we all have 08 model EX and we have 2 different rear bumpers, I have rear view camera and AWGD8 doesnt but we still have 4 rear sensors/2 in the front, whats the deal with someone has 2 and others have 4? I will see if there is a package that adds 2 more sensors in the back.

Do you have AVM? or just the rear view camera? maybe AVM deletes 2 rear sensors in the middle?

Regarding the 2 photos of the Dark Currant EX above. It has AVM. Not just a backup camera.

I will edit the comment to reflect this.
