Come on!! I've been into them since they came out. I have most of their CDs. I think Strato is the biggest band out of Findland followed by Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, Warmen, Children of Bodom...etc.

Tell you girl friend to check out Kotipelto. He's a Stratovarius vocal, but has a solo project band called 'Kotipelto.' Songs are pretty good. This is one my favorite songs.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbY8mFTMRWk

I think this is the beginning of power metal. Helloween...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjV8SHjH ... 9h3jRaZyB4

It's not a power metal band, but she'll like this one too. Guitarist is my hero. This song has some great message to mankind.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0jt8D-Qaws

This song gives me a chuckle whenever I listen to it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lMdeQtIQgI

Anyone heard of Rob Rock? He's one of my favorite vocals.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57x5MZWrJeM

Anyone likes 80's metal? John Norum is definitely one of the underated guitarists.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDxexrhfBkA

Did anyone post Arch Enemy? Music is my type, but not the vocal.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tH12rSBGf28

Metal for folks who have advanced passed the point of mainstream metal (ie: Metallica, Korn, every metalcore band out there, etc).

Opeth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loGXDKEwFZs

Meshuggah: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4A_tSyJBsRQ

Dark Lunacy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...ex=18

Dream Theater: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8h81PggfE8I

Dead Soul Tribe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttHUtwF0OTg

Tomorrow's Eve: look up a song called Optimization.

List goes on.

Pretty good but a little too slow and I don't know about the vocals. They also more resemble the hardcore genre than the metal genre, but I dig hardcore. I feel like a douche bag music critic now.

I see some of you are bringing this thread back slowly but surely

Stuff I've been listening to lately

It Prevails- At Least Understand

Very good song, very melodic.

For The Fallen Dreams- This World Around Us

Sounds kind of like Parkway Drive, but hey that's not a bad thing.

Every bridge Burned- Un Momento

IMO, sickest song on the album. I put their MySpace up because I couldn't find this song on YouTube

And for those of you that enjoy symphonic metal...

Leaves' Eyes- Ocean's Way

Really epic song, awesome.

Hell yea they're a bad a** band, thanks for introducing them to me Yang.

I've been checking their MySpace every once in a while, I hope they come out with a full length album soon. They are playing a show close to where I live on the 29th of July, but I'm so damn broke .

For the Fallen Dreams- Changes

Awesome instrumental, the only bad part about this song is that it's too short.
