Good Metal...beta version 0.9

Postby ScrapMetal » Sun Oct 17, 2010 11:53 am

It's back! Well, I decided to make a new thread on metal since the last one died. I've been listening to a lot of brutal metal lately such as Grindcore just to get me through all the time I do boring as cardio at the gym. So here are a few of the bands I've been listening to lately. My tastes change week to week, so in a few weeks I'll be listening to something else but for now here they are.

Again, this thread is to introduce each other to bands/songs we've never heard of or haven't gotten the chance to hear. Make it fun, and hopefully I can fill up my MP3 player with new(to me) bad a** music and not die of boredom at the gym.

The Ghost Inside: Faith or Forgiveness- All I can say is this band is bad a**, one of the better bands I've been listening to. Found out about them about a month ago and I've been hooked. Got their first album "Fury and the Fallen ones" and it's one of the best purchases I've made all year. All the songs on the album IMO are great and I'm already planning to get their latest album "Returners" in a few weeks. I hope it's as good as their first album because band's second albums usually blow chunks.

Sea of Treachury: And the Angels were Silent- Another great band I've I've been listening to. Haven't picked up their album yet just heard a few songs off it, but I'm sure going to soon. Love the drumming in this song and towards the middle and end of the song it gets very melodic. Some say this is just your average everyday metalcore, but what the hell man some of us like metalcore :gotme

Suicide Silence: No Pity for a Coward- I like this band a lot, went out got the album "The Cleansing" and it was awesome for about a week. They get old quick but that doesn't mean that it's a bad album. The vocalist is pretty awesome, his high shrieks and low growls are just to die for. Yea the album got old quick but their still a bad a** band that I jam to once in a while.

Despised Icon: In the Arms of Perdition- Some of you may already know of this band from the old thread, but I decided to stick them in here because I heard they broke up which really sucks. I found out about this band from the old thread, don't really remember who posted them up, I'm thinking it was "xekushnr", who ever it was THANK YOU I f*** LOVE THIS BAND.

I'll ad more to this later, I'm going to the beach

I like this band called The Absence. I really liked them when I first heard them in 2005, bought both their CDs, then they kinda went hiatus for a while. They just came out with a new album. It's OK. I feel like it's missing something, but I like to hear how the band has really grow and developed a more mature sound.
