Just save for some coilovers. You will be happier in the end with the product. And more than likely less chances of you killing your underbody. Don't know too much but i can definatlly say that i won't be able to run spring/strut in my area my car would die on bumps

You can get megan for 120 - 135 there on the bouncy side but if you want low they gave my S14 2 inches F/R.

u serious? coils are alot harder on your car, lets just think about it... when ur car is 3 or 4 inches off the ground, its gonna be more likey to damage the undercarriage, (think speed bumps, ppot holes etc,) and when lowering a car more than an inch or an inch and a half puts alot of strain on the rest of the suspension.... shocks and struts are not nearly as bad for your car...

to the op..... u gotta realize something, u cant have cheap, reliable, and low all with suspension, as with everything else..... u already got the kybs so put some tiens, or megans on there and call it a day, just know these springs arent extremely stiff like coilovers, they are mainly for looks...

personally im going with koni yellows and RSR springs.... still have a spring rate of 5k if iirc, which is a nice intermediate, but the setup is pricey.....

i just dont want to deal with coils for a dd

^ no are YOU serious? you are making a huge assumption based on a generalization rather than any detailed knowledge on the subject.

"harder" is a subjective term, and its also pretty hard to understand what you mean when you say that "shocks and struts aren't nearly as bad for your car."

coilovers are height adjustable so you don't HAVE to slam the car to the ground when you install them. ground clearance isnt the only concern someone buying coilovers takes into account when selecting their suspension setup.

most shocks available for our cars, even the aftermarket stuff, is not designed to handle the ride height or spring rates some of the "drop springs" out there provide. just call KYB and ask them what aftermarket springs they dont recommend for use with their products to see what i mean.

with a coilover setup, the shocks and springs are a single unit and designed to work better than a spring and strut combo at all of the different levels of adjustment.

im moving this to suspension forum.

ok, maybe not as "bad" but for coils and extreme lowering u need Rucas, tie rods etc.... he was saying about the price of coils.... if ur going to spent the money and not slam the car, wats the point?

my main point was u cant cheap out on suspension, and expect it to be really low and stiff....
