I have been told by many people that S13's can look good with 15" rims, but I have yet to see 1. 17" rims look better every time. I was wondering if people could post pictures of GOOD looking S13's with 15" rims. Key words here are "good looking".

Thanks

Thanks for the intelligent reply nim-wit. I have looked online. I have also been around long enough to see alot of 240's with different setups. I have ripped many 240's apart 2 ways from sunday. I am not new to this. My point was I have never seen a 240 that looked great with 15's. Alot of 240's have 15's, but they never look as good as if they had 17's. I think it always looks either ok, or bad. I want someone to prove me wrong. Show me a cool looking S13 with 15" rims.

There's way too many opinions on what wheel setups look best, so there's never going to be a definitive answer on which is better looking. I prefer 17" over other sizes, but I think this 15" setup looks good.

Feadz - Thank you for the reply. You seem to be the only one that gets the point to this post.

Barefoot mat - I dont even know what to say. I guess you just read the title and not any of the content in here. I guess I expected too much from people here on nico. I have googled alot and saw alot of crappy cars with 15" rims. I was wondering if anyone had an pic that they could show where 15" looks good. But, never mind. People are too dumb to read a thread.

/end thread.

The reason you got that response from Barefoot Mat is becaus you were such a huge jerk in your last response. To get help from other people on this forum, you have to show some kind of effort on your own. I'm tryin to help you here, bein an a**hole will not help you at all.

CJH. The first reply you got butt hurt about was not that bad, more so informative and open to suggestion. Calm down and move on, it's only the internet.

I like the Wheels Danshaz and I have, but good luck finding them. Also heard they came in great offests with dish but they are pretty impossible to find as well.

Did you guys know the dump has a place just for alloy wheels? And they yell hardcore if you start taking any with you.

OP, I can't post pics since my work server blocks them, but you should google S13's with Eagle Alloy 028's or Diamond Racing Steelies. Those are the only 15's that I've seen that manage to look decent.

But personally, for S13 hatches, I prefer staggered 17's up front and 18's in the back. 18's all around for coupes. 17's all around are starting to look a little too small to me now. Clearly, I've been frequenting too many 'fitment/stance' websites...

I’m just so sick of a lot of crap. This wasn’t a basic post like "S13 with 501's" or something like that. I didn’t want to see a stock 240 lowered or stock wheels. I don’t want to see another dumb looking 240's. I was looking to see if anyone had a specific example.

simmode1- Thanks for the input. I agree, 17's & 18's do look best.

I have just heard a lot that 240's can look good with 15's. Guess this proves me right, they can’t. Sorry for snapping, this thread is just another good indicator of why my post over the last couple years are getting fewer and fewer, people would rather troll on these sites then post a good answer.

The might look okay with 15's, but 15's dont fit over and large brake upgrades.

OP- Did you try looking on rimtuck dot com? Not saying they are all gonna be nice but there might be some options for you on there.

Wow OP  you started a thread called "good looking s13 with 15" rims" then you spaz out because people post pics of just that. You are asking for examples of cars that look good , thats a matter of personal taste. I personally Love the way my car LOOKS completely stock and IS well kept, and honestly seeing a 240 with half assed rattle canned paint cheap offbrand 17s and body kit ebay everything a half busted purple "custom" interior and a huge coffee can exhaust on a stock motor just makes the rest of us look bad. Im proud my car is 20 and has never had the check engine light come on, can you say that?

EDIT: socal- nice sled, OEM style FTW is the truth

I'm not surprised you catch a lot of flak on this forum if you just b**** everyone out for posting responses that aren't EXACTLY what you wanted to see. SoCal's S13 looked awesome (may it RIP) and you straight up called it dumb looking. God forbid you ask for good looking S13's and different people have different opinions about what looks good...

Do us all a favor and keep your negativity to yourself

OP, this is probably one of the most legit cars rolling non-oem 15"s...
really what else do you want. the trends and common style has changed in a big way, not many people run that size anymore, sooo youll see less and less of them other than the usual sportmax 00#'s

this is another, basic but does it fairly well

This is a fair question, IMO.

The metric for any wheel size is, can you get low enough to tuck wheel with wheels that small?

On 15's, with an S13, this will be TOUGH, but I don't think it's impossible. Here are my thoughts:

1.) You will HAVE to be stock body, no aero. If you have any aero, you won't be able to get low enough. You're going to have to be SUPER low, like rails 0.5" from the ground, no space for sideskirts. Honestly, on an S-chassis, being this low may require some hacking/welding.

2.) Rivet-on flares will help a ton. Flares will effectively lower the fender line. This is all about closing the gap between the fender line and the rim lip in order to achieve the appearance of tucking. If you can get the fender line 1" lower via flares, you should do that. This will also enable you to run a slightly fatter tire with more stretch, as the whole top part of the tire will be tucked inside the flare.

3.) You will probably need a custom exhaust. Part of the reason you see shakotan cars with pipes coming out of the hood is because they're too low to route it beneath the car. You could *maybe* get away with super-skinny piping, but it's more likely you'd have to route it through the cabin or just a straight pipe out the side.

Honestly, I think it's possible and I think it would look good, but you have to throw all the normal S-chassis dorifto considerations out the window. You have to build it like you would build a shakotan/grachan car.

EDIT: If you don't want super hard ZOMG fitment though, I think the burgundy coupe on Kosei's above looks great. My advice is if you want 17" fitment style on 15" wheels.

in my opinion 15 inch rims only look good if ur car is dropped really low. stock height and 15 inch rims make the car look like ...idk like there's something missing. higher the car the bigger the rims. (opnion)

Loaded question. Anything you post will be poo pooed by OP. He clearly states his dislike of the wheel size but for some reason ask us to prove him wrong, but reguardless of what you post he isnt going to like it, cuz its his opinion. Fail a** thread! But semi-amusing, like my puppy chasing his tail.
