Some of the guys like the Zymol leather cleaner.

I think, though, the general consensus is that the Lexol PH Cleaner and the Lexol Leather treatment give the best results.

YOu can get a spray bottle of each for about $10 that will last for years. I highly recommend them.

I have used many... lexol, mothers ,just about every one Icould get my hands on. I liked mothers. It cleaned good and the reason I liked it was it brought a heavy leather smell out.

Indeed... search feature provides spotty results at best. I know there a threads somewhere about this... I remember posting in them. don't worry too much if you can't find them though.

At least a few of us are willing to answer questions that might have already been answered.

Here's a few, try searching only for the word leather, in Inf Gen & Inf Q45 and searching both Recent and Archived.

so I tryed the lexol and didn't have much luck...Maybe I was not using it right. Would it help to let it soak into the seat alittle bit before wiping it off??????.

I was rubbing it on and making the foam like it says on the bottle, then just wiping it right off.You guys that have used this before let it sit on the leather for a couple minutes before wiping it off? The longer it sits the more dirty it loosens up????

thanksGM991

It's really more of a conditioner than a cleaner.

Cleaning leather is difficult without using agents that harm it - i.e. alkaloids or solvents that strip away the oils.

So long as you use both steps... the cleaner, and the conditioner, you were using it correctly.

Just follow the directions. Use a wet towel, spray the stuff on the leather, and lather it up. I try to wipe it off while still wet... if possible.

Keep in mind the great part about the Lexol products is that they are very gentle and very leather friendly. It took a couple of treatments on my car before I noticed the leather getting significantly cleaner, softer, and more rich looking.

I cleaned the leather, and immediately applied conditioner afterward. I did this about once per week for about 4-5 weeks when I started using it on my Q. Affter that, I have been treating the leather about once per month and have seen great results.

You will find that Lexol has a great website that describes why their products work the way they do... and why most products do more damage than good. As I said, so long as you use the two part system of the Lexol Cleaner and the Lexol Conditioner, you are fine.
