Well heres some info as to where im at. i just rebuilt my ka24de, had some problems but those are good now. as of now, i have deleted the egr and the air injection unit. for the egr i have the vaccum hose that goes to it from the btv valve blocked off. but there is a nipple that a hose goes on to on the bottom of the btv that does not have a hose because i cand find anywhere for it to go. for the air injection unit i still have the vaccum lines there just not hooked up, and the electric plug in just dangleing. also the maf is not hooked up. so my problem is that i can start her up ok but once i go to plug in the maf, she instantly dies. i am also running exteremly rich, most likely due to the maf not being hooked up. i have run out of ideas so any at all would help.thanks

Sounds like a bad MAF.

You're trying to plug in the MAF while the engine is running? Never do that. Its a good way to ruin your ECU. Always key-off before plugging in or unplugging any sensor.

EDIT: Almost forgot, there's little useful info here (actually none at all) but I'll shoot in the dark and say check your fuel pressure regulator. Does the car start with the MAF plugged in?

no the motor woulnt start while maf is plugged in, which is why i tried to plug it in after i started it.. i thought the maf may be bad too, but it was fine before i took the motor out to rebuild it a few months ago.. what would the fuel pressure regulator have to do with this issue? and how do i test?

The bore shouldn't effect anything enough to make it not run. If it won't start with the maf plugged in, then you either have a bad maf sensor, or a bad vacuum leak.
