Good heat no A/C...need help before spring.

Hot air is always coming out of my vents if the heat is on or not. Hot air comes out of my vents with the ac on and or temp is down and ac is off. The only time my ac works is if it is 50 and below and usually I'll have to be moving. I have a digital auto system. My coolant is a little low, there are no leaks. There has to be some kind of valve thats broke behind the dash. If someone has a write up on how to remove the dash and find the valve I could use it. Also the fan in the front of the radator does not work. Thanx

That fan in front of the radiator is your AC condensor fan, and is critical to the system functioning properly. I'd look for a working used one. Contact www.yugobernie.com to see if he has one.

Do you know if the system has the right amount of refrigerant? It could be low. The best way to check is by hooking gauges up and reading the pressures.

I have the same problem as the OP and I just checked the front ac fan and its nonoperational.

I think it is partly the fan in the front partly a little low of r12 and the valve behind the dash.
