Hey NICO I've got a question about a turbo that I could be acquiring by a trade. I'm new to the whole turbo speil so here it is.

I'll be trading a set of Integra Type R rear seats for the T28. It's not from an s14 or s15, just an ordinary T28, non BB. It has an AR of 48?

This turbo will be going on an SR20 of course.

onto pictures:

The guy said there is almost no shaft play.

Is this a good turbo or should I stay away?

Does it have an internal wastegate or is this model free flowing?

Its internally wastegated and it prolly wont work with your sr because its a 4 bolt exhaust housing and srs are 5 bolt so you prolly wont find a elbo.

all you gotta do is buy a 4 bolt flange and have a shop make you a down pipe to connect to your exhaust. it shouldnt cost more then 100 bucks, but i'm not sure i would use a used turbo, it's always a gamble.

now add that to the price of the housing and then ad that to the actual price of the turbo and u got alot more than what you actually have to spend to get the right turbo thats also ball bearing no fab needed that means no down time eather. so whats more practicle? you can find s14 t28s all day

hey bro, don't buy a used turbo!! I just made that mistake. If you look in the sr thread you'll see my wonderful time buying a used turbo. DONT DO IT, unless he's one of your boys and you can beat his *** just incase.

Yeah, I've decided against the turbo, it isn't worth the hassle of having custom flanges welded and ****

Thanks for the insight.
