well I think I should share this gem I found, and been playing for the last few month, with all the nico guys here!

"Combat Arms" is the name, totally free and does not require high pc requirements. Its graphics are decent, the game play is fast, and you can kit out your guy the way you like! there are ranks in the game, so you do have to rank uo to be able to use the better guns/gear.

everyone should give it a shot...why not its FREE!

my in game name : tachtwo

So, I downloaded it, made an account, and set it all up... then it crashed. Got an error, went to the forums fixed the problem and tried again.

Still crashes, before I can even play the game. Everytime. I don't think I'm gonna put much more effort into fixing it either.

If it wasn't a multiplayer game I'd give it a try. Multiplayer shooters do nothing for me, though.

They can be fun, depending...

BF2 owns everything, but isn't free. Small maps and grenades don't mix.

America Army deserves mention in a thread like this, its a pretty good one.

I am kinda over computer games now. FPS are soo much better with a mouse, but consoles are SOOOO much more comfortable to play. Extended mousing kinda makes my wrist hurt because my desk is kinda ****.

I just started a game of Earthbound after I saw the thread where you mentioned it DOOM, never seen that game before. Think I'll go play some of that :P

Yeah, the Battlefield games are a lot of fun. BF:V is still my favorite. I just don't like dealing with other random people. If I had two full teams of friends to play it with all the time, I'd love it. But other people either take things way too seriously or don't care at all, which ruins the fun for me.

I'd be much more inclined to check out a multiplayer game if it came with a strong singleplayer mode (even if it's just well-done bots) too, so I can jump back and forth between being competitive online and relaxing offline.I played a lot of Half Life online back in the day. I was good at it, too. But that's because my time devoted to the singleplayer game helped me out. It was also because I could shake things up through the console. How about a game of low-grav crossbow target practice? Can't do that with console games.

Funny, I feel exactly the opposite. My hands are supported by the desk/keyboard/mouse with a PC. With console games you hold the controller, it doesn't hold your hands, so it's less comfortable after extended periods of time.

Earthbound is awesome. The setting and satire are fantastically done and the localization is (surprisingly!) brilliant and much deeper than just straight translation. It's a Japanese game developed from a Japanese POV about an American setting, but it's so spot on it's incredible.
