Yeah, the Battlefield games are a lot of fun. BF:V is still my favorite. I just don't like dealing with other random people. If I had two full teams of friends to play it with all the time, I'd love it. But other people either take things way too seriously or don't care at all, which ruins the fun for me.
I'd be much more inclined to check out a multiplayer game if it came with a strong singleplayer mode (even if it's just well-done bots) too, so I can jump back and forth between being competitive online and relaxing offline.I played a lot of Half Life online back in the day. I was good at it, too. But that's because my time devoted to the singleplayer game helped me out. It was also because I could shake things up through the console. How about a game of low-grav crossbow target practice? Can't do that with console games.

Funny, I feel exactly the opposite. My hands are supported by the desk/keyboard/mouse with a PC. With console games you hold the controller, it doesn't hold your hands, so it's less comfortable after extended periods of time.
Earthbound is awesome. The setting and satire are fantastically done and the localization is (surprisingly!) brilliant and much deeper than just straight translation. It's a Japanese game developed from a Japanese POV about an American setting, but it's so spot on it's incredible.
