Before I start I would like to point out that I have already searched. I have found many different kits. I just want to hear about some personal experiences on how well these kits fit. I am leaning toward the ssac piping. It apears that the cold pipe has problems and looks like it is made for the s13 sr. I found an old thread from this forum when c-rad and a bunch of you all ordered this kit. c-rad I believe got the s14 cold pipe to work and someone else cut, rotated and rewelded. Just need some advice on what i should do here and what would be easiest. Thanks in advance!!!!! Btw i'm new to this forum. I have a 90 s13 hatch. cusco comp-s coilovers, st swaybars, ca18det,sr greddy downpipe, cometic hg,apexi n1 catback, greddy turbo timer,255 fuel pump, hks filter. 10psi daily driver.

Welcome to NICO!!

Your car sounds like its probably fun as hell.

The s14 SR kit will fit with almost no modifications, and is the way to go as far as ease is concerned. I fabricated my own piping from the stock metal bits and some auto zone exhaust tubing, and I think it cost me all of $30 including silicon couplings. I bought an ebay core in the size I wanted, so it just properly fills the space in my bumper. If you are up for it feel free to try my way, but buying an s14 kit is probably easier and cleaner looking.

Welcome to forever!

I bought the SSAC kit for the S14 SR. The cold pipe had 2 bungs that needed removing and closing. The hot pipe needed minor modification to fit my BOV. Over all an easy install.

s14 SR kit is where it's at.

I had to modify mine just a little bit, but that was just because I was playing around with where I wanted to mount my bov.

i also have an ssac s14 kit. and alway thought. meh **** it an intercooler is hard to **** up. well seeing one on the dyno the numbers falls. big time. through multiple runs. i mean 215 to 200 to 170. it made me think. talking to a guy i work with who has been tuning cars for 10 years put it to me like this. piping is piping. the core is the second most important part in your setup next to tuning. sure the turbo can make the power but if your core cannot cool the charge efficiently then your just overworking your turbo. all your efficiency is in the fins of the core. if they are all spread out like mine or the ones on ebay, thats less contact the air has with the aluminum in the core. i would recommend a Precision core. they arent actually that bad. 600hp cores go under $400. its worth it, trust me. a guy i work with, his s14 sr with t70(?) made between 460 and 470hp over and over and over again.

oh **** syphrus its you. come in the shop and tell them you want intercooler pipes made. they will have me do them.. i just finished up the dsm and they were ****ing saweet...telling you man i dont know how much he'd charge you but its 2.5" polished stainless steel. not cheap aluminum. tigged by me. they hold like infinite boost haha. i dont think it would be cheap but worth it. come on man i need work! so i can quit my other job

Im still not in good with that shop. I would rather pay you to do something than pay you working through them. I can find you things to do to my car.. lol. But as far as ic pipes go, they told me around 400. uh,, no. Im not paying that much to hook up my small fmic. Plus, just dont have the money. Right now, i need to get it to stop smoking at idle. I wanna bring the turbo by, and get you to jump on it, but im at shep all weekdays. and work, i have tues, and thurs, off but dont get outa class til 6. And if i give you both turbo's i would have no car to drive. Dilema. You guys have any t25's sitting around the shop?

sorry about the hijacked thread, but ch187 pretty much summed it up. Piping is just piping. Less/mandrel bends= less restriction. Ic gas to have good efficiency. Even if it holds boost, could cool like the gay stock side mount.

i think the only one we have is a ford 2.3 turbo. its the same m24 cartridge, if i swith your housings it may work but then again you have a z32 turbo. also, we just did our first one today. welded diffs for 200 installed. everything. done. dave and i do them. thats a ****ing steal. the one we did was for 150 just to hook him up and get the word out. dyno day is coming up too. 65 for 2 pulls and specials on tuning.
