So I had to drop my car off at the dealership today for routine maintenance and the passenger side airbag recall. They were actually really helpful to my surprise. Told me that they would have to hold the car till the end of the day for the recall and all the stuff to do but I didn't have to wait all day. ^^ The guy set me up with a free rental, gave me a discount on my service, and was actually quite nice about everything. I've had some bad experiences with service at another dealership and was my first time at this one. So far, I'm very happy except that they put me in a Versa, but that is Enterprise's fault and not the dealer's. Granted, I don't have the fastest car on the block, but I do miss those extra 50 ponies.

Any of you other guys or gals have a good experience at the dealership with your coupe?

BTW, the dealership is Metro Nissan in Montclair, CA and the awesome service guy I have to give my props to is Javier.

Hopefully I won't have to post tomorrow saying everything went awry.

NOPE! My (service engine soon) light came on, on my '09 A/c. so I made an appointment. When I went in they said they couldn't fit me in, What is the point of an APPOINTMENT, idiots told me it was my GAS CAP!!! I know how to shut my gas cap tight... total A-holes.So I asked my sister to take it in cuz i work all day and the took it in right away and washed it and what not...I bet if I went in, they would NOT have washed it lolTurns out they had to replace a Purge Control Valve...

Your one of the lucky ones as many say. Me too. I go to Universal City Nissan and they are GREAT. I have made many friends there. The Sales manager is a friend (He is also the finance manager) and the service manager is a friend.

My first service resulted in oil being spattered all over my engine shroud, my oil filler cap being overtightened to the point that I needed a wrench to remove it and discovering that my oil level was down a FULL QUART when I checked it a few days later. Yeah, I'd say your experience was atypical to be sure!

That is why I take my car to places that actually care about their jobs... Any other place is better than the dealership I find. I take mine to Kaltire, I know the manager their so it's always good when I go there because he will not over charge and he makes sure the job is done right. I check my bill though every time I go because I am cautious and paranoid haha. I have yet to find a good dealership...

The weird thing is that the buying experience was so great. The salesmen at the dealership bent over backwards to get me the exact Coupe I wanted at a super price. I almost felt like they treated me so well that I owed it to them to have my first service there, but after that experience I'll do all my future maintenance myself, thank you.

The dealerships are very good at being nice when they are getting money from you. They realize that they have to make you feel like your the only one at the dealership that is important. Then as soon as you drive off the lot they are doing it again to the next person... It's pretty bad because we all know what dealerships do yet we tend to feel like maybe this time is different haha.

Mine was absolutely horrible.

The night I drove the car for the first time we (the salesman and I) opened the hood and noticed that there were a bunch of acorn shells in the engine compartment. Salesman even took a picture of it. Turns out there was a critter living under the hood of the car and actually chewed up one of the mounting brackets to my headlight. I took the car back to the dealership 3 weeks after picking it up (when we noticed the damage) and they told me that I couldn't prove the damage happened there and they would not fix it.

I called Nissan USA and filed a complaint and got a call the next business day saying that they were waiting for me to make an appointment to get it fixed.

Took the car in to get the headlight fixed and after leaving it there all day they said they didn't have the part and had to order it. That was 3 weeks ago and I still have not had my headlight replaced.

Customer Service at it's best. At least Nissan is trying to help.

Now THAT is crap...that would really suck!!! You don't go buy a new car and expect it to come with bite marks...

Delawri Nissan in Regina, Saskatchewan. Would give any horrible dealership a run for their money... Instead of running they would end up just taking the money and hiding behind excuses on top of excuses.

Examples:Brakes squealing after 3000 miles- their excuse- poor driving-Solution- ended up going to Oakwood Nissan in Saskatoon, who fixed them

Engine clicking when it first starts up pretty much when I bought it-their excuse- their made that way... wtf

Want them to install a spoiler- their price- $350 + $120 installation- solution- going to buy one off ebay and get a local shop to install it (G35 style with brake light).

The list could go on and on forever...

WHAT CAR DEALERS WON'T TELL YOU by Bob Ford--- A must read for anyone thinking about buying another car. It sums up dealerships and gives great advice when buying a car.

Side note: I think the title to this topic is pretty funny, good dealership experience? ---Just turned into a rant about poor experiences with dealerships haha, something that anyone who has bought a car can agree with!

I ordered some tires for my new rims through my service rep because they had a buy 3 get one free promo going and he offered me "dealer" price rather than "parts dept" price. Made an appt. and dropped my car off and went out for a round of golf.

When I got back to the dealer I found out he had ordered the wrong tires. He said he just ordered off the VIN number instead of the specs I had given him. He felt pretty bad and already had keys to a loner in his pocket (a 2.5 sentra but that just made me appreciate mine that much more). He said if I left mine with him he would get the right tires in the next morning and get it in the shop first thing even if they had to go to discount tire and take a loss.

He also offered to transfer my tpms from the stock tires to my new ones and do a full detail inside and out (including shampooing the carpets and leather treatment) for free. Oh and they did a recall fix (new brake pads I think).
