Newb posting here, I have some questions, may be obvious but I have been doing my research kind of... I have a friend of mine selling a 95 s14 with a RB25 neo. Now are neo's ok I spoke with some locals that say the neo is capable of 800 hp and what not so can someone enlighten me of the engines capabilities or at least send me in the right direction to where I could find that Thanks.

neo's are not much more capable than a regular Rb25.

anything pushing 500hp and you should CONSIDER a full build. not necessary, but a smart idea.

alot of your questions can be answered by using the flashing SEARCH button.

the neo shares the same bore as the regular rb25..

I really don't understand what your asking.

What is your goal? built motor? for what?

Thinking you may get better info if you give more details.

searching for "interchangeable parts" isnt going to get u anything. try searching for Rb25 pistons or something like that

I am looking to make 700whp on my new car, I am wanting to know since I have been on lots of websites that deal with RB25det engines and they sell pistons, rods, ect... and the setups only say RB25, rb20, or RB26, Are the pistons rods and many other parts interchangeable like are the pistons and rods that are sold by je or wiseco or carillo rods that say they are for a RB25DET will those pistons fit a Neo or does regular RB25 parts not fit in the neo's engine?? that is all

I am starting to confuse myself...OK I want to know if anyone makes pistons for a RB25det neo that are forged. Also do regular piston for the RB25det (non-neo) fit the RB25DET neo. and where can I find a manual that tells me all the part numbers for these motors so I don't have to ask what parts fit what??

ok im gonna be the as$hole.

do you have $10,000 to spend on your engine? cause if you dont, 700whp is going to be out of the question

not only that, but do you realize how much power that is? have you ever even driven a 350whp 240sx? thats HALF of your goal and trust me...its a handful. that is enough power to spin any size tire in almost any gear. i leave 100 yard long tire marks when i go into 3rd and stand on it and my car makes under 400.

dude seriously. if you have to go and start a thread about these types of questions there is no way u have the knowledge to do a 700whp Rb build. No offense....

plus i already told u that the rb25 and rb25 neo share the same bore. y keep asking the question

You didn't really anwser his question though. The sr20ve and sr20de share a bore diameter but, the ve piston in a de yeilds a higher cr. I also don't understand what some guys on this board have against horse power. There are some of us that are completely happy to just go as fast as we can in a strait line or just make big numbers on a dyno and go home. Most of the guys I hang out with don't consider a car fast until it makes a mid 10's pass.

Man we got some REALLL nice guys on this board, listen we own a shop as a matter of fact we own three money really isn't the object. But yes I have driven a fast car and no 250 whp isn't anything to me. I have a fwd eclipse making 560whp. So I think im looking to make just a little more than my eclipse. I am gonna shoot for 700 right now maybe in the future a little more. Im sorry if I have pissed alott of you off I just wanted some wise knowledge from you guys since you know alott more than myself about the RB motors. I just find it strange that when I search ever other search engine and website ppl are asking the same thing. "where can they find forged pistons for the RB25det neo" and no one ever replies and last night when I checked the part numbers with a bunch of different manufacturers the bore and stroke sizes are different for the neo than they are the regular RB. SO obviously im not the only person that has this question. So if someone can give me some real feedback as to where and how I would be able to stumble upon some good internals to build my motor I would appreciate it.
