the turbo i have now is a t3/t04e .82 a/r, 60 trim...it spools up at about 3500-4000 rpms, but i like it (some may think that that is very late). the boost is killer once it does it.
Don, if its a t28 it'll definitely fit your stock manifold, HOWEVER, like what IH8 (jesse) said, you'll probably have to do some of that stuff to make it fit correctly (turn, etc). but it'll definitely fit on the manifold because of the t25 flange. does it have an internal wastegate? probably does.
if you do what i did (put a t3 flanged turbo) on you car, you'll hafta change out the manifold, plus add a wastegate beacause most turbos other these stock style turbos come with internal wastegates to control boost, but bigger upgrade type turbos involve using external wastegates. THEN, you will have to modify your piping from the intercooler and your downpipe. you can buy kits that go for out of this world expensive pricing (they look very nice though

) i did mine custom, and it still looks great...most of those prefab kits run about 3000+. my upgrade ran about 2000. ain't that funny...
also, its always great to upgrade your injectors and fuel and stuff like that. you don't necessarily have to, but its always a plus if you wanna get more fuel to that turbo. if you plan on going over stock boost, 7psi, then i'd suggest you do so. i ran 14 psi on my stock turbo (with stock fuel pump for a while then uprgaded to a walbro 255, stock injectors) my turbo went bad. its up to you. be on the safe side and do it.
