I know that for the most part cops aren't jerks. But recently they have been quite the bother. There's a local website dedicated to our county and it's a pretty decent site mostly with enthusiasts and a few miscreants here and there. We have stickers to promote our site and many of the members carry it. The local police department has been having lots of fun cracking down and pulling over those of us with those stickers.
Recently one of our members was pulled over while a man had his truck stopped in the middle of the road taking up 2 out of 3 lanes. Mind you she was in a minivan, with JUST the sticker on her van. When pulled over she asked why he wasn't going to do anything about the truck in the middle of the road and the officer said, "I didn't see it" even though he HAD to go around it to get to her. When she looked in her rear view mirror she saw her sticker and said that he was only pulling her over because of the sticker, he responded with, "Try proving that in court."
I'm getting very concerned about this. What if the man in the truck was having a heart attack? Or if he was hurt or something? These "tough guy" cops are letting such petty things get in the way of actually keeping the peace.
Good cops, Bad cops? I don't know...
