Good Coil...Bad Boot

Here's a weird FYI for you all. Been having a bad stumble...checked everything I could think of. Fuel pressure, pressure regulator, filter, FPCU, pump, injectors, coils, plugs, egr, maf, cas, TPS, AAC, hoses, and a few other things I'm sure I'm forgetting to mention. No soap....still stumbling. So I do a power balance with my new consult cable and nissan scantech software...no.8 has next to no power...I do a compression check...it's ok. Now I'm gettin pissed (actually not too much cause I have compression). I check the coil on 8 one more time...it ohms to spec. Well, it wasn't the coil...it was das boot. Who would have thunk. A little oil in the plug hole, a little corrosion inside the boot...and a whole lot of stumblin going on.
