Some of you may know i had a bit of a situation due to the streets of NY and my Stiff coil-over's they ended up cracking my strut tower due to a pot hole i hit and couldn't avoid and it just continued to escalate until it looked like Carlos vert if any of you guys recall. So i thought and i was going to part out the car and get a Miata but than i thought for the money imma spend on a Miata i might as well keep my car. So i went and got a Brand New strut tower for 271 from Nissan. Here are some pictures of the aftermath i dropped the car off yesterday and tommorw im going to pick it up shizz is nuts i am so happy:mysmilie_1725:These pictures are still early in the cracking it was way WORSE

POS strut tower out =)Look at that nice space =)Slight Picture of the new one =) More coming tomomrw

O yea if you didnt notice this was all done with the motor in the car in 2 days :D

Holy crap... talk about easy access to that side of the engine bay! That rust was nothing btw... this is what I'm currently dealing with right now:

I have to cut more of that out before I weld in the patch. If it would stop pouring out, I might be able to get some of it done!

that is a BAD spot to have rust, the weight of the car on the front is on the strut towers, the strut towers need the connection straight down to the frame to adequately support the weight.

Good thing is you are doing it right by replacing the panel completely.

Well it wasnt really rust it was a crack that was caused cause of a pothole and grew insanly big it was fresh metal wasnt rotted just flimsy. I did want to patch it up but i went on by driving the car and i only got so worse that the seam that goes around the coolant tank was breaking and rising up to the point i could see my tie rood boot.

I wouldnt bother patching that up i can see that its starting to run up the tower like mine if you have the time and money put in a new one and get over it. Yours is in way better condition than mine so you can prob make it happen

I picked mine up today drives so much better its awesome i hope to get the other side done when i have a chance, money is tight and i have to pay this one off when i can
