Hmm, depends. What's the scrap value of aluminum at the moment?
Although I'd have loved it better if it were free, I would consider it even if only for educational purposes

I'm sure the advertiser knows it's just going to stay in his garage collecting dust. For $100 don't think your hurting your pocketbook. Then you can experiment to your hearts delight. Pull the trigger. Go for it
