Ive been looking for a 240sx for quite a while now and i have my eye on two. Guy never called me back on one of them so im going to look at this one on friday. Let me know what you guys think.

1990 240sx hatchback, only 182XXX Km5 speed car has been recently repainted red, absolutely no rust, brand new set of 18" speedy fusion rims on low profile tires, one season old winter tires on steelies, original alloy rims also on the side,

windows tinted 20% in the front and 5% in the back, sunroof, cruise control, newer after market panasonic stereo with 12" kicker sub and kenwood amp. red undercar and under dash neon kit, 2" lowering springs not even installed yet. The timing chain, guides, sprockets, tensioner, and water-pump, brakes have just been replaced less than 2000Km ago. In need of selling because im in school and cant afford two cars.

Looking to get $4800obo for everything or $3400obo for the car without the summer rims. Need gone asap so no reasonable offer refused.

I will de-rice this car if i do decide on it btw. I know what all of you are think about that wing lol and the neon

The wheels in the picture are in no way worth $1400 more

Beyond that, I still think he's asking too much, but need more info ... you and this car are in Canada, correct?

thats correct. 240s are a little more rare up here. and yeah i wouldnt get the summer rims. He did say that he has the stockies but one of them had a flat and he bent the lip of rim . um what else...Inspection is at buyers expense... well maintained. oil changed every 3000kms along with a fluid flush.

thats about it. like i said ill be looking at it on friday so i will post what I found

i think the price is a lil to steep considering the mileage. to give you a comparison i just paid 2800 for a 95 with 123xxx with a few goodies. You can always work with the seller, if he see eye to eye with you he will gladly part to you for a fair amount. good luck!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA those wheels with tires probably arent even 1000 NEW! Id give him 2000 if that with the wheels and everything he has thrown in, plus there are goin to be holes to fill when that wing comes of so the paint will need to be touched up.

No way is it worth 4800. Id pay 2000 at the very most. Paint looks bad. Wheels look bad. Interior looks bad. Wing looks bad. 99% chance its been beat to hell. For 4800 bucks you can pick up a nice swapped s13. Keep looking.

Keep in mind where he is and how hard to find or far he'd have to go to find a no to low rust 240 in Canada.

That said, I still think he's asking too much for the car without the wheels, and seriously, those wheels aren't worth anywhere near that much more .

I dont wanna buy a swap I wanna build one somewhere down the road. I prefer the term *built* not *bought.*

As for the condition of the car IMO its fairly good considering some 240s that are in canada. rust eats away at these cars. The title sais *open to reasonable offers* so im sure I could work him down alot. But a little off topic...If I do decide on it then I would need one stock rim with tire. anyone have one? a relative price would be cool too.

Thank you

Those seem a little off to me mind you i have no idea what the dollar is at though. I have looked at 240s for sale here and the prices are alot lower than canadian 240s

Okay I appreciate the comments but:

1. I have not even seen this car in person and I dont even have the slightest bit of a decision right now so dont tell me im an idiot for paying that much.

2. I LIVE IN CANADA. 240s are a lot more rare than in america. Ive been looking for about 2-3 months now and at most 10 have showed up. please keep in mind the cost.

3. he wont refuse ANY reasonable offer. He put it up for that much because its ment to be negotiated. Im not trying to defend the seller but if i was in his position selling a car I would jack the price up as much as i could because i know how people negotiate.

Even if 240 are rare in the US, I still wouldn't pay no more than 2k for that car, and that if everything good, engine, in/exterior, I would rather put that money down on something else, but hey, good luck though, I hope you can get it for a decent price.

Some people just put that to get your attention at first and it can get to you, but it may not mean anything in the end. When I got my car I first offered the seller $700 lower than his asking price and he said it was way too low. Apparently even $200 off his price wasn't good enough either... although he did eventually settle for that once he knew a rear diff sensor needed to be replaced.

i realize s13s in canada are rare, but i don't believe it has NO RUST. they love to rust under the plastic vent pieces at the bottom of the windshield, were teh doors bolt on and many other places. even the most rustless cars will have some rust somewhere. find out where it is so you know what you're up against

yes thats a good point conqueror

id also like to add that the heater is weak...if anyone could guestimate the cost of fixing that would be helpful to knock down the price.

Yes i will be THOROUGHLY inspecting this car. I do meen thoroughly. I was considering a full inspection but the seller sais that its at buyers expense...

Edit: he did say that he has the full inspection from last february....alot of stuff can go wrong in a year though...

true, you won't be able to check everywhere without disassembling stuff, just be ready for it if you purchase it

So I looked at the car today. His "no rust" claim was, for the most part, true. there was some rust on the front towers in the engine bay. Bay was a bit dirty but it ran nicely. the only thing that made me question was that the car handled like it was a tank. He installed the 2" lowering springs which was probably th main source of the suspension rattling like a mother******

Just curious, ive never driven or rode in a 240, but do your cars rattle quite a bit? or was that just this car. It almost felt like the windows were gonna rattle right out. I dont know. Input would be nice. Also, coilovers would fix the stiff suspension correct?
