okay, check out these links: eBay another one

looks like what happened to some great coilovers (Megan) and some other great products may have just happened to B&M's shifter. looks to me like the company that makes it is now selling them to another retailer. damn, i love greed. see? anybody who says greed is evil is a f***** ninny. the maker gets greedy, and sells to whoever will pay.

anyways, enough ranting. can anybody prove this isn't made by the same company under the same specifications?

what i mean is, i'm pretty sure the B&M has springs inside the ball cup to keep the shifter from plodding around. am i right? and do you think this one has it? i'm up for a <$100 B&M.

Looks like they sell a lot of other knock-offs that they ripped designs from others. Its easy to copy someone elses design. Its hard to engineer and design your own original one that works well.

Add it to the list of "Brand Name"-style parts that are flooding Ebay. It has close to nothing in common with the original quality part.

so you guys would say the same about Megan coilovers, which have proved themselves time and again as lasting very well (especially since people like JIC and those are crap), and the dampers are great, springs don't sag, not bouncy like D2/K-sport, etc. not to mention the Megans are about the only ones on the market that are steel, so the threads won't be getting crapped up and such. this is why i want to know whether it's a good knock-off or a bad one.

Megan coilovers are very good, and I'll agree to that. But even Megan's short shifters have been breaking and has issues with them. I have heard of some people having great luck with ebay shifters and other brands such as Pilot or OBX, but I've also heard some bad feedback. Just because it looks the same doesnt mean it was engineered and manufactured with the same standards.
