I have a 1990 300zx. last summer i had 3 cyclindars go down. a buddy and me tore the engine apart and put in new pistons, rings, bearings, seals, and injectors. i didnt know much about this engine at the time and that was really stupid of me not to know the engine before getting into what we got into. needless to say, we put the timing belt on wrong and i think that i may have bent a couple of valves, and i gas leaking into my oil pan. the kid that was helping me did everything half fast and there are a lot of things that he did not put back in like tyhe knock sensor, and different types of things like that. i thought that he knew what he was doing, well i found out the hard way. right now it is sitting at someone's house that i met that works on these cars. well he doesnt seem to want to spend time on it. does anyone out there know of a place that will work on this, or if anyone does it on the side. please let me know, you can email me at [email protected]. thanks!!

Hey Fitz - Honestly, your best bet is to just swap in a JDM takeout motor....

Working on a Z32 is miserable!

I'm local, so let me know if you need some resources - My time is pretty tied up, but I "know people" here in the valley...

thanks guys, unfortunatly i am short on time and money. i am about to order a rering kit from rpm machine.com just to get this car running for now, it is my only means of transportation. i love but also hate working on this car, i have learned a lot, and i hope that this guy that i am working with will help me out. but he wants to charge me 600 for labor. i would try it again myself, since i have researched this engine and know more about it but i dont have a house, i now live in an apartment. but any advice you can give me would be great.
