I plan on doing an LS3 swap with the stock Z32 manual trans in the near future. Plenty of kits and loads of information when swapping an LS into the Z.

Here's a link to one swap kit supplier. In my opinion the best kit in terms of quality and price.

Also, next time easy on the caps. It reads like your yelling.

Let me ask the all important question: How much are you willing to spend on this endeavor, both time and money?

NolimitZ32 has a good point. I'm doing the swap myself and plan on doing the fabrication myself to cut costs but I still plan on a $10-12k+ build...

Not sure that amount will net a really exotic swap such as 2JZ or LS, more like RB and even then maybe a tad short depending on taste and end goals.
The Z32 is not cheap to work on for many reasons such as ECU and front suspension/bay height/IC restrictions, and there aren't a ton of aftermarket solutions forcing those I've seen do a lot of fab and also to be ingenious.
There was one 2JZ swap that seemed to work out well that has posted here, and I've seen quite a few LS swaps over at other sites so both are doable just not cheap or easily done/sourced.

I'm currently doing a rb25det swap in a 1990 na car. If you do all the work your self and have access to a welder (and know how to use it) you can do it for 8-10k all in. You must be very selective when sourcing your motor and transmission.

I went the route of using the rb25det transmission too. You can get decent rb's with the trans, harness, and accessories for under 2,500. Mine cost me $2,100. I then replaced the t-belt, water pump, n1 oil pump, arp head studs, rear main seal, cam seals, head gasket and had the head decked and inspected for cracks. Plus a resurfaced fly wheel, upgraded south bend clutch, new pilot bushing, throw out bearing and a "Freddy" intake manifold and your then at approximately $3,500.

Rear drive shaft needs to be shortened, $300, exhaust $550, and lastly I used a swap kit from CX racing. That was about $2,600. I still need to have the oem z32 eco modified by nistune. Plus you'll need stuff like fans for the radiator, power steering rack bushing, etc.

I really entertained the 5.3 LS swap due to how easy they are to source and having swapped them in multiple vehicles in the past but I choose to keep mine all Nissan.

My best advice is know what you can afford and what your capable of. If your a shade tree mechanic and don't have a great selection of tools this is not a swap for you. Stick to a 5.0 mustang, they are much easier and cheaper to work on. But if your skilled, have a good selection of tools and the proper place to work on it then go for it.

My $0.02
