there is a program like that here. People can get an application to donate their cars. Any work that is done on them, they only pay for the parts since the labor is a learning experience for the students. I was gonna do that with my altima to have a fresh paintjob on it, but never got an application

I dont want kids "learning" on MY damn car. It's rough enough on my baby just having me learn on her, nevermind 30 other idiots.

Yeah It'd be hard to trust a bunch of students with no reputation what so ever. Maybe you could take the class with them, then figure out who the ones you can trust to do a good job and get them to help out

Don't goto the vo-tech school, eventhough i got a cert for a 10-month class... wasn't worth it.

chassis... i think they also have an engine dyno as well on the corner of the lab, but they were not using it at all when I was there... was more fun to bring the whole vehicle on the brand new rollers n run the dyno.

Also, they were one of the 1st schools to "train" local technicians to the NJ stoopid Inspection Maintenance program...@ nite.

I remember us testing the AC Delco rapid fire sparkplugs on a teacher's chevy monte carlo & saw the gain in HP over stock Delco plugs!!! <can't recall the #s> ah, good times...I might return to finish my certs, but forgot most o what I learned (plus my ASE certs are long expired).
