So after doing some review it looks like Teins are the closest you get for a comfortable quiet ride, though it wont be compared to stock. I'm a pretty anal guy when it comes to in cabin noise, so I like my interior to be silent and comfy for me and passengers. Now the question is, seeing that coilovers give a stiff solid ride, it wont wear out the shocks since they are made for that specific purpose. What are the cons of lowering your car on stock struts? I heard that its fine until after alot of driving and/or long distant trips it'll start to take its toll. What do guys say? I'd hate to half a** a drop, but I dont wanna be driving in a car that feels like a shopping cart.

This is my first drop ever, be gentle.....and if your hebrew you're also welcomed to be gentile ;)

Your ride quality on coilovers is going to go down if you're going to drop the car. There's no avoiding it, in my opinion.

I have never ridden on Teins, but I had many discussions with my shop guy who has been working on nothing but suspensions for 20 years. And that is what he's told me after complaining to him about my ride quality. After tweaking the preload and damping, I got my BCs pretty close to stock on full soft. But it's still not what it was on stock springs. On stiff damping settings, my organs get jumbled, and at higher speeds I've gotten tossed out of my seat and hit my head on the roof!

I know some people have mentioned how their ride quality improved with coilovers, but I find that hard to believe.

Yea, I dont think I'll be doing coilovers. If I'm gonna drop it I'm sticking with springs. I just dont wanna have to change out the shocks unless it f.ucks it up over time. If that being the case, screw it, I'll 4x4 it I dont care how stupid and ugly it may look to some people.

I have the tein basic dampers and they're amazing. Yeah the ride quality is not as good as stock, but compared to my BC Racing coilovers these things are like butter. As for cabin noise, I have none that I can hear from the coilovers. They creaked a bit while they were settling but after that it's been silent aside from my exhaust and loud music, though the tanabe axelback is one of the quieter exhausts anyways.
