Bought a used 2006 Murano with 70,000 miles. I'm gonna take it to the dealership to get it checked out for a few issues. I was thinking that since its already gonna be at the dealership, I may as well get a few maintenance things done to keep it running good. What kind of things do you suggest? Spark Plugs, O2 sensor...etc? I got a really good on it, and don't mind spending some cash if it's gonn ahelp the Murano run well in the future.

2 things that I need looked at: 1) Horrible gas mileage (i get like 15 mpg in the city, even when I try really hard to get good mileage, by barely hitting the gas and letting car coast)

2) Vibration throughout the car when driving slow, goes away when rpms go higher or when i coast.

Any suggestions on what I should get checked out? Should I hook it up to the computer, even if the 'check engine' light is not on? Thanks

First, clear all stored codes. Then reset your ECU and idle air and throttle body. Then install a new MAF. Don't buy from the dealer as it is overpriced at $500.

I've worked first hand on current Nissans and the majority are "drive by wire"vehicles and every other mechanic forgets this. They disconnect the battery and it wreaks havoc on your vehicle. Maximas, Altimas, Frontiers, G35's, 350z's, all have drive by wire. All these vehicles have the same issues and they leave my shop happily cured. Just remember to reset the ECU, idle air and throttle body. If it "pings" install a new MAF.

The MAF won' throw a code as it will work within the specified factory values. It will only throw a code when you are dead stuck in the middle of a desert. BTDT on Maximas and ALtimas with the same VQ35de engine.
