Google is a good start..... It won’t show you much. The reason is because I think only 1 has successfully been finished. The person who did had to...

-Remove and relocate the frame rails which now affect the backspacing of the front wheels.-Modify the firewall-Build a custom crossmember with custom mounts (of course), but relocate the steering rack some (hard)-Build a one off, custom, intake manifold because the stock one is so tall, the process for this took the builder weeks to get right.-Transmission adapter plates / custom bellhousing, transmission crossmember.-Then all the plumbing, wiring, fueling.-Oil pan fabrication, pickup

The issue is that it’s a 90 degree V8 with 4 overhead cams. If you try to drop it in the heads will almost hit the frame rails, so no header room, they just clear in the z33 chassis. The people who build a VK56 S-Chassis was an experienced weld/ fabricator. And it took time a long time to figure out. In the end it’s cool, very cool. But at the same time it’s not worth the money and fabrication. And other then supercharging / turbo...... the performance parts market for these are very limited.

Welcome to NICO!What do you plan on using the s14 for?Have you considered alternatives? Why a 5.6?It would be over all more simple and faster to do a SR swap or turbo your KA to get the same or better results with less weight and less money. Unless you have the motor and trans in hand and feel like doing some work...Just my opinion, not flaming...

Nico looks forward to new members. You shouldn't be so harsh... Give the new guys a chance.

Has been done, at great expense. Could be very cool.

Even a VH45 is an easier swap, but hey - to each his own.

I'd love to see it, but it's a TON of work. An LSx swap would be easier.

Welcome aboard mane, as far as ur 5.6 Titan motor I would ditch it and get an rb25det neoand drop that in ur s14...that would give you significant power and be a more cost effective build with alot more aftermarket support and potential.

Agreed, also that's not the original build thread, he had another that listed all the issue he had too, I think he had to notch the frame rails to fit the headers.

If you want a V8 in your car, a domestic engine is going to be your best bet. They are cheaper, have manual trannies that are plentiful, go-fast parts aren't hard to come by and don't cost an arm in a leg, and they have been done to some extent so there is some knowledge to share.

I'm currently pioneering the 4.6 DOHC mod-motor swap in the S chassis, and let me tell you first hand that this stuff isnt easy...

i came into this thread expecting a swap in motion.Considering his tag is 540sxslider, i though he already had a swap done.

Alas, i am disappointed to the point of committing suicide.

Well, good luck with ur swap, and there was no need to start a thread that will go nowhere really fast.

agreed. The comparison is always an upgraded or worked motor vs a stock V8. Now noodle will be boosting but I am NA, tons of low end torque and approaching 500 RWHP
