Sorry to share my feeling, but it bother me whenever everyone talking about that blue civic in the begining of the movie. It's not a stupid Civic Si, it's a 96-98 civic coupe model that was supercharged, yes, supercharged the stupid SOHC motor. I'm sick of hearing blue civic Si....it's not a damn Si. I'm bored.

But you know what? You still went to see both movies and you are probably going to see F&F2 just because you have a love and curiosity for cars.

It was a Jaguar XJ220, I doubt that they would have hada McLarean F1 for two reasons1: it'd be kinda silly to have the Mustange as the main car when just around the corner is a car that could stop the s*** out of it.2: I doubt they could persued any of the few american owners of the vehicle to use their million dollar car.

There were several cars in there that would have stomped the **** out of the gt500, but I love that car. I don't think they could have picked a better "bad***, v8, I'm gonna rip your head off" car than the gt500. That car is one bad mutha.

Plus the nitrous was a nice touch.

Yeah, definately many cars that were great and the movie was much better than TFNTF. For those that don't know, the movie was modeled after the movie Bullit. Originally the chase scene was considered the best chase scene in movie history. The new one tried to make a chase scene that was as good as the original. Also the original was a shelby built fast back and THAT is why that car was chosen.

I know exactly why the car was chosen and I know several of the cars in that movie would have beat it down. And in my opinion the chase scene wasn't nearly as good. The goofy computer generated jump over the bridge and use the fact that the car couldn't go past 115 without a shot of that BA NAWS killed it for me.

who cares what kind of car it was? it was still a honda, and it would still never hang with a porsche. case closed.

No more talking out of youAlmost any of the Big block mopars could take it, i know that the hemi cudas could, superbee 6 packs, 383 road runners, any car like them and most of the chevys could for sure if they had the 427Not trying to get off subject but mustangs are piles

You've got to be kidding me. You know it was a remake of the original "Gone In 60 Seconds", right? The car in Bullit was a '68 Mustang, not a Shelby. Two entirely different movies.

As far as the Shelby GT500 goes, it does NOT need NOS to go over 115. They are NOT piles and are worth mucho $$$ in good condition currently. I grew up riding in my dad's '68 GT500KR convertible. Trust me, they're quick. Also keep in mind that no one said the car in the movie was stock. Maybe it ran 11's. Who knows.

The movie WAS a remake but if you listen to the director HE wanted to make a better chase scene than the one in Bullit. I think he failed in that task, but his intention was to model it after that chase and then out do it. I know that they were 2 different movies. thanks though

They way you worded it, it sounded like like you were saying it was a remake of Bullit.

Did I say it was the fastest car? No, I said I, again ...I... liked the ******* car. Say what you want, if I like the car I like the car. So go drive your hemi or superbee 6 pack or 383 roadrunner, or whatever and leave me the hell alone.

And there is a HUGE difference between a Shelby gt500, and a 69 mustang, they are two different animals. You couldnt pay me to drive a stang, i hate em. However id love to have one of those gt500's, which in good, original condition go for around 80 g's (i think).

that movie was nothing like the fast and the furios. It is a nice movie with a decent plot and some sweet cars. Gotta love elenor (gt500)! BTW does anyone have a clue what color paint that shelby had? That was a sweet mettalic grey!

Yeah, that grey was bad@$$. and the wheels were really nice too. Were those the orig, shelby wheels or newer ones. And the chase in the first one was a lot better. the chase was over 40 minutes and they destroyed like 80 some odd police cars. i think the best part was when Billy and his gang were pimpin out the Cadie. "see ya later Billy.."

It wasnt even a real GT500. it was a clone. who would let some guy drive around their $75k classic car in the streets like that.plus, they only made 2050 GT500s

It couldn't really have any rice because there was like only one or two jap car in the whole movie. Plus some of the worst goddamn acting I've ever seen in my life, anyone see that part with Master P & Nicolas cage? My theatre teacher had that scene as #6 on his top ten list of worst movies ever. Plot just seemed like they were trying to hard, "yeah, I boosted the car myself." But a lot of the cars were nice, and there was one good actor in the movie, Vinny Jones, the guy who played sphinx, that guy is the man in every movie he's in (lock, stock & 2 smoking barrels, Snatch, Mean machine. If you like movies then you owe it to yourself to see these ones.) FNF sucked *** too, but I'm probably gonna go see part 2 just to see the cars, and so I can come back here and make fun out of it with everyone else.

I'd just like to see one good movie about imports......

You guys do know that Gone in 60 seconds was a remake based on the Gone in 60 seconds in 1973 right?

Anyways, I'm a honda fan as well as 240sx. Can you stand it when someone come up to your 95 240sx and say it's a 97ish 240? It'll get on your nerves later on about it.

One last thing, a civic has the same protential as any other 240sx. Just because they are out numbered, it doesn't make them bad. Think about it, a 160 HP with barely 3 digits TQ, runs low 16 quarter mile while a 155HP with plenty of TQ runs around 16 as well, oh, and it's RWD and not FWD like civics. THere are pros and cons for every cars, just because you love one car, doesn't mean that you hate any other cars. For real, how many of you have driven a SOHC, DOHC, and forced induction civic? I have, and I can tell you, it wasn't a joke.

One question you guys should ask yourself before dissing: "Why do I want a turbo engine"?

Have you seen a turbocharged H22 in a CRX? One thing, it flies.
