I've cleared 13,500 easily. And I know I'm probably missing a few things off that list.

EDIT: I went through and forgot to add in a lot of stuff. The total I'm coming with now is $16,180 and I'm not even done yet. I've still got another $2,000 to spend on turbo upgrade, and I want to completely redo my suspension.

so that would make all of us a little "upseide down" on the cars??? Who cares.. I'll never sell it anyway... just keep adding stuff to it... I removed all the markings from the car except for a 8" Turbo (from a Porsche Carerra) script on the tail... nobody knows what kind of car it is...I also plan on removing the key lock from the trunk just to make it look smoother, and of course, go with coupe doors and lose the pillars... the list goes on...

If the weather holds up this weekend, I'll be putting my coupe doors on. I might try to borrow my parents' garage if it decides to rain a lot.

I actually started keeping track of the crap I bought when I purchased the vert to keep myself from spending too much - I'm about double your amount right now, not really close to finished yet (and lots of stuff bought but not installed too), hahaha.

I need to get me a practical car that I don't mod. dammit.

wow.. i'm sure I can remember everything..

$1500 for the car$3000 for the rb20 clip, 5 spd swap and all professional installation. $1000 for transportation$500 to figure out the water pump was bad. $500 in spare parts and maintenance stuff for the engine. $500 for the custom intake manifold and downpipe. $750 for the silvia front end conversion. $250 for the doors (with shipping)$200 for the body kit after trading out the stock silvia stuff$650 shipped for the Volks. $150 for replacement tires.$150 for Z32 brakes$300 for t3T4 turbo$100 for GTR injectors$100 for Z32 MAF$150 for S14 seats$130 for taillights. $800 for paint. (I can't imagine what the labor would be worth)$200 for KYB AGX suspension.$100 gauges$100 boost controller and other electronic craps

OMG $11,130. Boy and I bet that number is light by about $1k just for random stuff that I could never remember or calculate.

I sure could use $11k right now in my checking account.. with a new baby coming and all.. Oh well.

What do I have left to do:I need an engine management system and to have injectors cleaned... then i can kick up the hp to the high 300 range. I also need to work on the suspension bits... Tie rods, control arms, bushings, etc...

Good Lord... Why did this thread have to get started... I'll have to bust out the cash calculator and figure out what I've got into it and what it's going to take to get her "finished". Hopefully it will be under 10k...

Mine's pretty easy for the most part.

Vert == 20001st donor car = 1000sold donor car - 2000Total so far: 1000

bough 2nd donor == 3300

sold ~ 1000 bucks worth of crap - 1000

so, I'm in my car with an SR, rims, and clean interior for ~ 3300 bucks.

now, I'm about to drop prolly 3 more grand into turbo/suspension and a new top.

Addictive is right.My interior is out right now for re-upholstery ....

While it is out, I stumble on a 5 speed swap. Car is gutted - good time to do it.As I look in the empty cockpit, carpet has got to go...... BTW it is a good time to re-wire the stereo & intall a sub/amp, & new head unit & speakers.Oh well, if I did not spend it on my car, I would likely waste it away on something else....... Well most of you are ahead of me (on the lower end) I paid $7900 for my Vert in 1999 (but she only had 75,000 miles on her). Hmm..Auto trans rebuilt $1500 (In 00', where was NICO then)Tires $400 (original 15's)SR20DET Motorset$1800Silvia Front end $1000Wiring Specialities $150 (best money spent - thanks Yuri)First RHD Japan order $1500included clutch, radiator, twin fans,hoses, BOV, JUN Fender Flares.New Top +extra material $500 (still needs to be installed)Tension rods $80Used Transmission #2 $300 (original SR Trans crapped out)Rims (Rota P45R's) $800 (hopin those arrive this week)Tires Free (Ahh at least one perk, but they're used)Gauges $250Manual Boost Controller $805 lug conversion hubs $500

I couldn't even imagine the "OOP's need that trips" to AutoZone, Advance, or Pep Boys. And I'm sure I'm missed a few other things. I'm a shade under $17,000

Oh yea, the wife reminded me of all the tools needed to perform all these wonderful tasks...lol..60gal compressor, piping for air system, 220 power, engine hoist, engine stand, air tools, paint guns, pneumatic stapler, grinder.. aw hell it's a lost cause..

Ahhh.. but the trips with the wife and kids to the beach with the top down..PRICELESS.
