I just wanted to find out who here plays Golf?

I recently just started playing with my friends who have been playing for a long time. and I must say, it is a hard hard game.

This weekend was the first time I played on a course... I am still hurting from it.. it works you... not the walking becuase we had a cart but the actual game works you out...

all in all.. I am hooked to the game and will be playing soon again... just wanted to know peoples thoughts on this...

Yeah i used to play back when i was like 16... it was fun for awhile then like any other game like bowling or pool it gets tiring....

try miniature golfing it will help you in your swing and you will feel more comfortable and control your arm .....

P.S> Those balls can get quite expensive....

I hate golf with a passion.My dad loves it, but I’ve always hated it, when I was 12 he tried to buy me clubs and everything, I just don’t like it. Heh, I even work at the nicest/most expensive golf course in the city, where I can play for free, but I still refuse to touch a club, all my friends that golf ***** at me all the time for wasting suck a good opportunity, but the game doesn’t appeal to me, I’ve played it before, it truly is a challenging sport, but I have more fun driving the cart then I do playing :P

My friends and I will usually hit the course once or twice a month. I don't seem to be getting any better, but I have racked up more than my fair share of amazing plays. My favorite is the one where I sliced the ball, it was heading straight for the lake, but it bounced offa the gaurd rail right into the middle of the fairway. I doubt anybody here could do it in 100 tries.

I don't play golf, but I do play pocketball every once in a while. Does that count?

I used to play golf and was good at it! Now I wonder why people waste a nice walk playing golf.

i don't play golf, why waste time there, when you can be in the car racing or working.

i used to play golf all the time up until last fall when i suddenly stopped playing. The game itself is not bad to play but i can not stand the way u have to dress and be on ur manners or the old people will get angry and add a ten thousandth rule to which u must abide by. thats the stuff that drove me away from the game. but its really not that bad of a game if u can tolerate all that stuff. i cant

lol i played golf for a couple years when i was in middle school...i got good but i got bored with it...too much effort to get to the next level (competition level) so i quit

I played a round in high school with some friends that have been golfing since kids. Of course, I sucked- Hit the ball, find the ball, hit the ball, find the ball... But I can putt though. I guess the mini golf pays off.It looks so easy on TV, but trying to put a tiny ball in a hole 300 yds away separates the men form the boys.

I play. I suck, but I play. I like it. I've only been out the the course with some friends who are much better than me a few times, but I now have my own clubs. I'll just gotta work on getting my swing consistent so I stop topping my ball all the time.

I used to play when I was in Junior High and High School, but I stopped during high school. My clubs are too small now and I'm too cheap to buy new ones. It's great fun, especially once you get pretty good, but it's super expensive!

BTW, I always walked the course...

I live in the Cincy area and there are an abundance of nice courses around here, just not enough time, nice weather and money to play them all

If you're sore from playing, it's usually from swinging too hard. Even if you play baseball/softball you never take more than 10 to 15 hard swings.

Enjoy the game, play the course not the other people.

im a fan of golf and try to get out 3-5 times a week. I used to try to be competetive but now its just for fun. Never really been good but still love to play
