With that being the case, those are wheels I would NEVER use on a car.
Considering the temperatures that brake rotors reach (I know, I've turned a set of gold Brembo calipers purple before), and the wheel is a "heat sink" for the rotor, it's not hard to imagine them seeing temps upwards of 350 degrees (at least occasionally, and only at the hub).
However, now that you mention it, I do recall a conversation with someone from HRE about this topic... and their position was "No way."
In light of that, I take back what I said - Paint alloy wheels, don't take the chance on powdercoating them.
