Because I'm not a fan of mismatched wheels (on the same side)Gunmetal Gram Lights on driver's side.Gold Gram Lights on the passenger's side.

The reason for this madness...I bought 2 used gold gram lights. Being in the Los Angeles area, I though I could find another pair of gold ones in 17 inch (et30 or lower). After 3 weeks of useless searching I said "screw this." So a scored a pair of gunmetals for a good price. My preference is to run all gold. The wheels and tires are same size all the way around (225/45/17, 17x7.5, et30), but the tires on the gunmetals looks fatter.

HK, Are you planning on getting to a spray booth any time soon? I'd go with the gold untill you get a repaint... Looks much better IMHO. The gunmetal's look too shiny against the flat black. With a good paintjob I would go with the gunmetals.

Oh BTW, was your car *red* before spray bombing? You need to hit those fender wells! Anyways, nice conversion - although I do prefer the R32(33?) grill better. What's your suspension setup?

the gray silver aka gunmetal looks kind of shiney. Weird being i thought gunmetal didn't have a chrome shine to it :/

dude, coolest idea ever, its like having two sets of rims.. for now i think the gold is better, but it depends on what color you get it sprayed, if you get it sprayed.

Haha, that looks awesome! You need to paint half your car a really nice color, to go with the gunmetal, then leave the gold side flat black.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

according to carfax, this car has never seen ownership outside the state of california.

In regards to a real paintjob, I dont think it'll be in the distant future. I've spent all my money on other things. The car's original red paint was oxidizing bad, so I needed a quick fix. This is not my daily driver (weekend car only), so the paint doesnt bother me as much. If you think the exterior looks ghetto, the interior is far worse (mostly gutted, no power window/locks/mirrors, no a/c, cracked dash, etc).

If I ever do give it a real paintjob, i'll probably go gloss black.

I'm running Tein coilovers. I will be raising the back end soon.

Haha, it's funny you say the inside is worse; that interior looks far more attractive to me than the outside(well, 'cept the bottle). Nice!

I read in the new SCC that the GT-R shown a couples back in LA on the strip had different color wheels on both sides. Your a co-founder of a new trend. First Altezzas, now this.....

i hope this doesnt turn into a trend.i did this as a ghetto quick-fix, like the paint job.I've seen alot of others roll completely different sets of wheels on each side, same size of course.
