When I dunked the runners in Berryman's Chem Dip the runners came out looking pretty much like new, leaving only the aluminum they were made of behind.
As for cleaning the plenum I plan to make a metal plate to put in front of the throttle body opening. Then I will pour the Chem Dip into the plenum and let it sit for a few hours (NO MORE THAN FOUR HOURS THOUGH).
As for a brush to clean the runners and plenum I asked the three tool trucks that come by my work place and they all had nothing. I asked a local pluming store and even they had nothing. I even went to Harbor Freight and Sears to no end. Then I found Home Depot and one of the guys showed me these beauties which were perfect: http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R ... reId=10051
I cut the handles off and put the shaft into a drill and the other end into the plenum. Without any solvent the brushes were somewhat useless. But with solvent....
I am getting ready to swap out my runners and plenum because the AAC/IACV reads 60% at idle. The car wants to stall when warmed up. I cleaned the AAC/IACV last year I believe and it was spotless when I cleaned it. It would be nice to find a 1996 Q45 engine with the non adjustable (According to Qship96).
