like the title says, im going 5 lug with a z32 rear knuckle, and i need to buy a new rear lower sleeve with a z32 shock attatchment type. i currently own tein HE's.

i called tein and they said they do not sell the shock casings individually, and that i would have to chop off the current s13 type attatchment and fabricate something with z32 attatchments onto it. i personally dont have these types of fabrication skills. does anyone know how muc it would cost to have someone do this?

i know sport compact car and nissanperformancemag.com got their lower casings from JIC and zeal respectively. does anyone know if those lower casings could work on my HE's?

what do you guys recommend i do? i really want to run the z32 rear knuckles. thanks

buy a new set of rear coilovers for a z32 is the only thing i can think of. would probably be only slightly more than custom fabing something up

That's pretty dumb that they don't sell it separately.

Maybe you should try getting quotes from different vendors. (Perhaps one of our sponsors?).. They may be more willing to part with them since they work closer to the customer level. But don't expect to get them at an extremely low price...

they dont make HE for the z32, so i cant buy another set of HE's. if i buy a different type, i dont know if the shock diameter or thread spacing is different. thats why i dont even know which tein suspension i would have to get the mounts off of.

chmercer - do you still have spl and tein coilovers around? could you test fit the rear mount? maybe i could get some from kts:)

or does anyone have access to HE's and FLT-A2's or any zeal or another coilover? i just need to test fit, and i dont know anyone in my area with coilovers...well, i kinda know a guy with kei office, but i dont think i would want to buy their $hock mount$ :)

the only reason i dont want to sell my HE's and get KTS is because i want to buy lower spring rate springs for my HE's. my completely gutted to hell s13 coupe can barely take michigan "craterholes" with an 8/6. the light weight makes the springs seem much stiffer.

IIRC, JIC FL-whatever and tein HE lower mounts in the rear are not the same size at all. You might call up a chassis fabrication shop, or someplace that specializes in automotive welding.
