I want to take my 240 turbo, and eventually i want to try and get about 330 to 350RWHp out of the KA. I was gonna go with a RevHard Cast steel 4 to 1 turbo headers, Turbonetics T3/T4 Hybrid, XS engineering 3" intercooler piping and downpipe, Turbonetics Wastegate, and an HKS BOV. Thinking of using an Apexi S-AFC II for Fuel enrichment combined with an Apexi Electronic Boost Controller, and Turbo Timer. I know I need new fuel injectors, new MAF, new FP, and new FPR, on top of some other things to get to 350hp, so here is my question.

What is the maximum safe boost you can run on a completely stock KA before you A.) max out the injectors or B.) have to change to lower compression piston heads?

I'd worry about the bottom end first. I don't think the pistons/rods can handle much more then 7 psi. Although I've heard it can handle 500hp "IF" it's perfectly tuned.

12psi all day on a well tuned setup and healthy stock block is very real and done by plenty of people. The rods are forged and shotpeened from the factory so they'll be fine for 330ish HP. If you want absolute reliability and have some extra cash, grab some forged pistons and do a mini rebuild.

SR/300ZX 370cc injectors are a cheap and easy epgrad over your 270's. Dunno about max HP outputs.

Do a compression check and go from there.

12psi on stock piston heads? if i can run 12 on the stock heads that is great, but somewhere i had heard that the stock piston heads for the ka had to be changed out because they have a compression ratio 9.5:1 which is too great for a turbod engine unless ur runnin like 103octane race gas. just wanted to make sure before i run 12psi and end up throwing a piston rod.

also, are the 370cc SR injectors direct replacement for the stock KA injectors or is something else needed like an aftermarket fuel rail, because aftermarket fuel rails for the KA are impossible to find.
