Okay so I've finally decided to step away from the na scene witht eh 240 and go turbo like my subaru =). Couple stupid questions about compression that no one yet has stll not answered. 10.8.1 compression is to high to do a turbo right. A turbo setup should be 9.8.1? Or something like that lol. Or should I just find someone with a junk ka24de and build it from scratch not afraid to spend the money to make a monster. But I don't rly want a sr or rb. I want to be different then everyone else. So if I can't find the compression ratio I need or to know if a 10.8.1 compression could turbo then where can I find a ka24de that runs or doesn't run for a complete rebuild.

Seems as though there are as many turbo ka's as there is sr's and rb's.....my fear is that you'll invest a lot of money and not get what you want. Anyways, try to stick with the ka24de...it's dual overhead cam and would be a better choice. As a reference....on the SR's from the factory they are 8.5:1....most guys when "building" them will bump them to 9:1. Anywhere close to that will be fine.
You are correct though. 10.8:1 is too much for a street car....
