I have a 93 vert. The head gasket blew. So I am in the process of tearing the head off. I figure this may be a good time to just go ahead and go turbo while I am doing serious work on the car. I have a few questions and ideas I just wanted to know if anyone else had any "advice" that would help me along the way. I have been thinking about buying cx racings turbo kit. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories they claim you can put it in without changing the injectors etc and boost 7psi. I was wondering if anyone else on here has actually tried this. Also since I have to get the oil pan tapped for turbo cooling drain I figure it would be a good time to buy a new oil pan and just have the new one tapped because someone ran over something and bent the pan on mine. I figure while I have the head off I will replace the timing chain, gears, guides etc. I don't really want to go to high in horsepower because it's a vert and I don't want to twist it in two. 250hp is right about where I would like to be. Can I get away with that in a vert without bracing it? Oh and since I have to change oil pans and I am doing work to the top half of the engine I will go ahead and change the oil pump to be safe. Anybody have any easy ways to get the oil pan off? Any suggestions on how to run the oil feed line? Sandwich adapter or run it from the oil pressure sensor? Any suggestions or input would be great. Thanks in advance.

ok first, i would not trust ANYTHING that is claimed on an EBay auction, do it safe and get a fuel pump($100), some used SR 370cc injectors, and a decent tune(Nistune ) the CXRacing turbo kit you linked is NOT very good quality, the turbo probably wont last you that long and i absolutely would under NO circumstances trust that wastegate, also the manifolds have been known to have MAJOR clearance problems with the BMC(if its a top mount kit, the link isnt working)

second, for the feed and drain lines check out JGS precision

http://www.jgstools.com/turbo/index2.html

their feed lind kit is great, also DONT FORGET AN OIL RESTRICTOR, just look around to be perfectly honest you can almost piece together a QUALITY system for around that price cuz honestely to do it right and safe, your looking at near 2grand anyways
