so ive decided not only am i going to put a ka24de head in my hardbody i am going to run a turbo. my engine idles fine and im going to check compresion on monday in auto class to see if my engine can handle it. i have a few questions though, first off is there anything else i should check out on my engine before i start buying turbo parts? also ive read alot about people geting piggyback controlers like the greddy emanage and i was wondering how difficult it is to set-up/program and how much boost should i run.

i know i probably said somthing dumb in there but im new to the forums and even newer to turbo's

thanks

Run 8-10psi. Get a SAFC, Fuel pump, 370cc or larger injectors, 1 of 2 ofmy available kits lol. Borrow a wideband or go to dyno and tune it.

It depends on how many miles are on your engine. Anything over 120k and you should replace timing chain, waterpump, cap, distributor cap, rotor, new wires, plugs. When your buying plugs buy one step colder, and gap them .20-.30. Dont get the -11 NGK's, they are pregaped and will make a weird angle on the plugs when gaped.

Lol imagine someone standing infront of those compressor wheels when the turbine sparts to spin.

Yea it should still work. You might want to sell it to a honda guy for a profit, take that, and buy a normal SAFC2, and pocket some change.

Actualy i have no idea, you should do some googling to find your answer.

yeah i was doing that and i am no more sure about it than when i started. i think im gonna stop trying to be cheap and just pay a few more bucks for a SAFC that i KNOW will work.
