GL. I'm jealous. Should be a lot of fun. Make sure to change fluids afterward based on the non-stop hard driving you're gonna be doing.

thanks buddy!!new ones so far so good. knock on virtual wood. im only at my first oil change, i really didnt get my full break in power i think after 10k miles. i know you remember from the videos same cars used to beat me bad then once i broke it in, it was opposite.

so im not expecting great numbers but a lot of my friends are going so i never raced legally so looks like a good time to end the season.

I think he meant to tape up the car with tape...to make sure that you don't get all sorts of rock chips.

Wow. Thats a good time for such a bad reaction time. Normal good reaction times are around .2 which means you should be somewhere around 13.25. Good job

Nice

That's pretty good number . You get better number than most of the S sedans. You should have even better after 10k miles on the engine. Did you have the 19's on?

Good job bro

***UPDATE***

ok everyone im back

here are my updates. was a great day first time for me tracking my car "racing legally" it was so awesome. was about a 1 1/25 hr 100miles drive we were actually going speed limit, since every other exit had a piggy doin radar so wasnt worth it. plus we were with a semi that couldnt go too fast anyways so it all worked out well with that.

nice cool non indy day 70degrees sunny so perfect for racing. really couldn't be better.

first off once we get there sign up and everything and head out to inspection. guy walks up looks at front of car quickly walks to the back and that was it then hes like ok pop your hood so i do. looks all around inside left front all around again. finally gets out flash light start shining it all over engine and then under intakes sitcking his head like in my car LOL. im like wtf is he looking for your not gonna find leaks but i keep queit. hes scratching his head this is like like 3-5 mins under the hood. finally looks up at me "ok so wheres your battery?' ahahahahah i almost died. im like in the corner under the plastic that says battery. hes like oh wow ok your good.

first run of the day 13.8 was pretty surprised. all day long i was going 13.8.

there is a differnce between manual and DS mode. with DS mode slows me down to 14.0 so .02 from me shifting or sport mode.

after i got the hang of it finally hit 13.7. pretty confident once my car breaks in fully ill be doing 13.5 all day on a N/A motor. thats fast enough for me. ill be happy.

the best times i got was when i was either going alone or with a slower car lol. other cars are just too intimidating. but almost everytime with a 11-12 sec car for the 60 ft i was amazing first gear im like yeaaa i beat you soon as that its like i hit the brakes and they just blow by.

my best 60 is 1.87 i was beating vipers and other 11-12 sec cars with that.

racing was open from 10-3 there was about 75 cars total. all in all i got at least 30 runs.

there were a lot of muscle cars / super cars 10 sec and under. whenever i raced them it was just crazy im still goin down the track and their time is already flashing hahaha. so i didnt even bother going all out everything i went with them was too scary also. those things blow up sent a axle or spin out smash into me so im all set i dont have a roll cage or whatever.

Vey nice time, specially for Naturally Aspirated. Gives hope to the G staying nat. aspirated and getting decent ET and traps, which some few changes in the ECU, plus your mods could do. 13.5@105/104 is super respected for nat. asp. in a 6 cylders. This is a good # to aim for.

Reaction time is not important, it's not part of the ET (elapse time), ..if you noticed turbo cars staying longer, spooling.. Unless you're in a prof. competition.

Your ET and trap speed is a very good balance. What was the 60 ft ET AND 1/8? Congrats.

Try driving on a road racing track like Watkins Glen with the COM Sports Car Club. You'll never go drag racing again.

yea not so much my thing i have no patience to slow down calculate turn or weather else. i just like going fast and in a straight line. i need speed. the only other type of racing i like is rally racing and no way is anyone gonna do that in a G.

plus my tires suspension brakes now are a little too expensive for that kind of play.

Sick times brothah! You've made us all proud/jealous.

Keep it up, you're AWD is what's helping your 60ft. I agree that when you put it in manual shift mode, you'll get better times. The 2004 will shift at 6750, if you shift manual you can run it up to around 7200 easily...

My best time was 14.4 @ 98 mph with a .57 reaction 60ft was around 2+... you're really doing well, except getting scared by the >10 second cars, 17 is unnacceptable for a G of your stature.

not sure if someone cleared this up for you but the R/T is just the time it takes from when the light goes green to when your vehicle starts moving. his .7xx means that it took him 7/10ths of a sec to REACT dump the clutch. Subi can sit there at the light for a good min if he wanted to, and then take off and his time would still be a 13.7

Reaction time has nothing to do with your 1/4 time you must be thinking about the 60 foot time and no he wont be getting any 13.2.
