going to rebuild ka24de should i take out engine & trans out or just the engine

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I would take out both. To me it seemed easier. Once out, is also easier to unbolt transmission, install new flywheel, clutch, and plate, and then bolt back up to the engine. Finally you can drop it into the car once its all ready.
