Going to Cali in June!

Hi guys!

Is there any Nissan events in June? I will stay in the LA area for a month and would love to visit some sort of car events. Drifting, drag or a regular meet with nice cars and some food.

Any ideas?

yah just look up and down the regionals...

theres meets on wednesday,thursdays,fridays...look at the sticky thread on top of the regionals.. (op is adrians_s13)

Just want some help to translate the events, hard to now if "the regular wednesday meet" is a small thing between friends or a big one with hundreds of cars. I hope you understand what I mean, crappy English...

ok here is the break down

monday nite in artesia (BUNCH OF RICERS GO....we go to see the ricers get pulled over for some monday nite excitement) a lot random cars attend this

wednesday nites its mostly a Z ilvia meet...couple 240's they are basically all friends just chillen out on wednesday nites...gets big once in a while..the usuals are like 10-20 people...

thursday nite at pipeline pizza is a nico meet...uhmmm this meet is like on and off w/ lots of people...but the post whores on here go to that meet (adrians_s13, r6_240sx) and couple others...hahahaha we get the same amount as the irvine people..

and another thursday nite in life plaza (rowland heights) this ive never been to...but i know its a Z ilvia meet...so dont go there...lol j/p they are bunch cool people too..

friday nite in arcadia ( this one gets really big at times...60+ cars at one time...they get nice cars too..like r34 vspec 2, pulsar gti-r, nadine and ben hsu comes out rarely too) but usuals its like 10-15 people

Sounds really nice! Arcadia sounds awsome, would love to see both jap and US cars, the C6 and Viper is really rare here.

I read there was some legal night drag event going on as well, ever been there?

yah there are drag events at irwindale/fontana or i think california speed way also...( im not much of a dragger, im a guy who likes getting sideways)but yah ill see if i find any drag events in june and ill post it up in this thread..

Checked drifting.com now and there´s no drifting event in the LA area if I understand it correctly.

We visited the Long Beach event last year, really nice and great to meet Rhys Millen and Samuel Hubinette, even forced Samuel to talk Swedish for a while. Crazy cars and people all over the place!

June 16, 2007 - in Southern California @ El Toro Marine Base (about 40 minutes - 1 hour drive from LA) there is a Gymkhana event. You may enjoy that very much. I probably won't be there, but FRSport will be attending (one of the forum sponsors - all of them drive 240's).http://www.gymkhanausa.com

June 23/34, 2007 - in Southern California @ Fontana Speedway - there's an autox practice & championship. Many fast domestics & imports, very nice people overall. You can come on Saturday & get ride-alongs etc. You can compete either day (23rd is pre-reg, 24th show up and drive).http://www.solo2.com

I`m here now! I`m here to work on a car and to get some vacation, we are going to Vegas for a few days as well.June 23 sounds good, I`ll try to figure out how to get there, I`m in Moreno Valley right now.

Any Nico meets soon?

Crazy cars and people all over the place!

lol, go check out venice beach, not far from LA....Definitely some of the weirdest people I've come across in Cali (semi famous for having crazy bearded hippiest on roller blades skating up and down the beach playing guitar....)

Cool scenery though, a spot I would try and check out.
