Going to buy a 1997 240SX..

Im new to to this board and new to 240's. I recently found a 1997 240SX with 90k on it. The price on it is 4K. It seems kinda cheap for that year. It looks good except the previous owner removed the nissan emblems and put some GT-R emblems on it, and he also painted some of the interior trim pecies silver. Other than that it looks ok. I was not able to drive it today because of weather. If everything drives ok, should i buy it? Thanks.

I to have a 97 240SX. The KA is known to be strong well on through 150K or even 200K miles. Depending on how long you are actually thinking about keeping the car, it seems to be a good buy. That's actually a really cheap price. Test drive and if it's cool, I'd go for it. Even if you weren't planning on keeping the car that long, that's a cheap price so you could actually turn around and sell it and make a profit.

Welcome to the boards!If it passes mechanical inspections, the jump on it, because that's a hell of a deal.Post up some pictures once you remove the GTR emblems

Thaks for your input guys. Do you have any suggestions on how to remove the silver paint on the interior trim? Paint thinner?

yea man i say make sure everything is ok with the car ie: like salavge car or not...get a carfx report or something..that sounds like a great deal man i say go for it

Damn 4k is a STEAL. Be careful though, the car might have a history. Did you check carfax yet?
