I went and looked at a redtop sr20 for 2k.

It looked very clean, no grime and looked like its in good condition.

I have a question about the ignition wires from the wire harness, there cut off.the guy said they always cut them and im wondering if hes saying the truth.

Would it be a hard thing to do when i turn my ka and sr harness in for rewire?

Also the sr20 has literally no hoses. Or even belts!

Everything like powersteer pump/water/etc is there.

How much would it be for all the hoses and belts (EVERY HOSE,fuel, radiator, )?

Thanks :]

Does it have the ECU and the rest of the harness with it? Not having hoses is normal and you should replace them anyway, same with the belts (although mine came with the belts and cut hoses). Also, see if you can take off the valve cover to check for baked oil or gunk build up in the head. You are going to be paying a lot of money for this, so make sure you are getting your worth. And no, the injector pigtails should not be cut, but if you are sending your harnesses away then it shouldn't be a problem for them to fix it.Also, assuming the head looks good and you are getting an ECU and the main harness, you should try to talk him down a couple hundred bucks, especially if it has higher mileage.

im not sure about the ignition wires question, but you should replace the hoses and belts anyways when swapping an engine.

if the wires/harness are cut probably more incentive to buy a brand new harness for the swap. I know they sell them somewhere but I forget where.

i agree fully with the belts and hoses comments but if i was spending 2k on a motor, i would want everything to be there so i know what goes where, ya know. from what you stated it sounds like that sr was pulled carelessly, but it might be in 100% running condition. its the risk you have to take i guess. hopefully they have a startup warrenty of some sort, or else i would pass...even then im not really sold on the current state of the motor, from which you described. gl either way.
