My grandfather just passed away less than a month ago. He was 88. Two years ago, he still has his farm and was still doing decent for his age. But my grandmother's health was poor and he couldn't take care of her and the farm anymore, so he sold it a year and a half ago. Once he stopped working, his health declined rapidly. I'm a firm believer that being active everyday, all day, has a huge impact on how long you live. My grandmother passed away about two weeks ago, just a couple weeks after he did, but she was nearly 8 years younger than him. I love my grandmother dearly, but she was never an active person. I think if she'd been as active as grandpa was, she'd probably still be with us.
